This actually would have interested me too, I recall them wanting to go the Scarecrow route too.

As for Spider-Man, as much as I don't care for the reboot the rumors of what Raimi had in store for a 4th movie sounded dreadful so I can't say I was looking forward to it at all, other then hindsight curiosity.

I always wanted to see a sequel to The Rundown, although I guess it never moved beyond early discussion so it wasn't really cancelled.

A sequel to Unbreakable would have been nice.

I'd also like to add, more "Veronica Mars". Either another kickstarter movie or maybe a Netflix series.

Yes. The villain of Spider-Man 4 was supposedly going to be Felicia Hardy, but instead of being Black Cat she was going to be a female version of Vulture called the Vulturess.

Is this a joke? I am going to throw up if Sony actually considered that change.

The sequels I always wanted were the planned ones to Unbreakable, even though I thought the movie was a little slow. M. Night Shyamalan had mapped out an entire trilogy with those characters. Unbreakable...Breakable...Broken.

Tales of an Ancient Empire ( DVD Talk even reviewed it )

No joke.

John Malkovich was going to be the Vulture, and Anne Hathaway was going to be Felicia Hardy, but instead of being Black Cat she was going to be the Vulture's daughter and be called the Vulturess.

I think I'm ok with those not being made. I look at Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs as sort of a loose trilogy and everything after that he's done has been crap.

I agree Burton's third Batman intrigued me there was some conceptual artwork of it when I went to the Tim Burton exhibit at LACMA like four years ago and apparently The Riddler was to have a question mark scarred into his forehead like Charles Manson and wore three piece suits. I was also intrigued by the casting because Burton originally wanted Micky Dolenz as Riddler but WB's wanted John Malkovich or Robin Williams. I'm also curious to know if Billy Dee Williams would have evolved into Two Face since he was a major part of the third script before it was scrapped.

I hated Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever.

Bubba Nosferatu I'm not sure why it's never happened, that deserves a kickstarter it can't be that expensive to make.

Marky Mark was signed for 2 Planet of the Apes films, even thought the Burton film wasn't very good, I would have liked to have seen the sequel.

Phantasm 5 (aka: Phantasm V, Phantasm’s End, Phantasm 1999, Phantasm 1999 A.D. and Phantasm 2012 A.D.) which was to be Coscarelli's big climax to the series.

Not to be confused with Phantasm: RaVager, which is on the way.

Well to be fair one Master & Commander movie runs about the same length as four Pirates movies.

Re: Cancelled sequels that you were looking forward to?

Another vote for Spider-Man 4. Too much meddling by the studio messed up SM3 with one too many villains, though the Sandman story was pretty weak. My wife likes the current reboot more than the Raimi films, but I don't really, but they're fine for what they are.

The Unbreakable sequels would have intrigued me if M. Night Shamalan kept making good movies after Signs. Talk about a nose dive. I ended up seeing the rest of his movies on cable, and each one worse than the last (never saw and have no interest in The Last Airbender). After Earth was a snorefest, and horribly acted.

The actual sequel idea that was pitched was Spaceballs III: The Search for Spaceballs II

Although the script was crazy, I wonder if they could've found a way to even execute it correctly.

The internet hasn't wanted Ghostbusters 3 for awhile. Sony has been been the one dicking it around for the past 17 years. It's too late.

I would've like to see the original T3 concept when Cameron was still attached that had the T-800 going back to the 1860s to stop Skynet from infiltrating the Confederate Army. That was insanely awesome.
