The pick I wanted before Affleck was Luke Evans. Depending on what they do in Flashpoint, could work out for the best with a younger actor, although looking, Evans is 38 so not terribly younger, but would allow time for a potential Reeves' Batman trilogy.

The DGA has a rule of "one director per film." However, aside from making exceptions for teams, they also have provisions in place for replacement directors.

Typically, with replacement directors, only one director is credited; either the original or the replacement, depending on the amount of footage shot that ends up in the final film. However, there is the possibility that they'd allow co-directing credits on this film.
