I thought Prometheus was superb from a visual aspect, and Fassbender was great. I also liked a lot more than any the more recent Alien or AvP outings. Then again, not saying much. I really do hate it when for a plot to move forward, characters have to suddenly act uncharacteristically stupid.

"It" has more to do with a done-to-death dead and obliterated character than "this" which really never had anything to do with that character EVER. (Is that like proclaiming the 16oz bag has 33% MORE *than the 12oz bag? Of course!)
"It" is different as "it" is more of a sequel coming after three other sequels which it needs to be different from, even though it is about the same characters.
The prequel-sequel will be coming from the back side. How does a prequel's story come afterwards? Isn't that a sequel?
I guess Ridley could be coming from the backside ... He's certainly spewing shit out of his mouth, so why not?

He's saying that he's producing the Blomkamp's film. And Ridley's film comes after that. I'm not sure how that's confusing.

I guess the language of the article (or the transcription of Scott's comments) is a bit confusing, then, because I took away that Paradise Lost -- the topic being discussed -- would go out first and Blomkamp's Alien would go out next, after it.

So does this mean Scott is taking full control of the Alien franchise, or at least overseeing it at this point? Could mean the nullification of everything other than the first two Aliens and Prometheus.
