20th Century Fox have remained very quiet about their upcoming sequel to Prometheus, which is rumored to be titled Paradise. Ridley Scott is said to return as the director, and we haven't heard of Jack Paglen leaving the project, so as far as we know he's still writing or wrote the script. We also heard from both Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender in October and again in November, reassuring fans that Prometheus 2 was still well on its way.

But since then we haven't heard very much. With Dark Horse's upcoming AvP and Prometheus comics, we see the Universe Ridley created, expanded, and has been said to help tie into the Prometheus sequel. But still, no word on the movie, until today.

On our forums, one of our members, Kangy posted up a link to CineWorld where they've posted a supposed release date, November 27th, 2015, for Prometheus 2 and have the sequel titled as Paradise! Now, since we haven't heard any official word about Prometheus 2 for over 2 months, I'm quite skeptical and we urge our readers to take this news with a table spoon of salt until we get some official word back about the subject. Here's the "plot synopsis" CineWorld has on their page for Prometheus 2:

Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace star in a sequel to Ridley Scott's mind-blowing return to sci-fi. Survivors Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and decapitated android David (Michael Fassbender) continue their mission to discover why the alien Engineers want to destroy mankind. This follow-up is scripted by Jack Paglen, who also wrote the upcoming Johnny Depp sci-fi film 'Transcendence'. It's not yet known whether Ridley Scott will return to the director's chair.

Now, some can argue that this plot synopsis is pure speculation since they're unsure whether Scott will be returning to the Director's chair, but for the sake of journalism, I felt the need to share it anyways.

Now, I have reached out to CineWorld and requested clarification on the information that they've posted. If and when they respond, I'll be sure to update this article.

If Prometheus 2 is coming out on November 27th, 2015 then that just made next year officially the BIGGEST year in history for Science Fiction movies ever. It also means we could expect to see some production updates surface within months... But it's possible that this date could be a placeholder.

UPDATE (01/17/2014): I have just received an email back from CineWorld after inquiring about their Prometheus 2 / Paradise release date of November 27th, 2015 which they posted on the site. I asked if this was a placeholder date or if it was in fact the legitimate release date for the Prometheus sequel and this is what they said:

"The release dates that are posted online are correct at the time that they are published, however, they are subject to changes, of course."

So, as far as we know, Prometheus 2 is set for a November 27th, 2015 release date!
