Didn't realize there were so many Pepe LePew fans here

He's a one-note character and his note is "I don't take no for an answer from women". Makes sense why they wouldn't want him in a movie in 2021.

I love Looney Tunes, but that sums up about 80% of the toons. Sylvester wants to eat Tweety(or Speedy), hijinks ensue. Wile E Coyote wants to eat Road Runner, hijinks ensue. Elmer Fudd wants to kill Bugs, hijinks ensue. Yosemite Sam wants to kill Bugs, hijinks ensue. Marvin Martian wants to vaporize Daffy, hijinks ensue.

That being said, it's a formula that worked and way back when, there was never any worry about replay value.

I agree, it's funny and he never "wins" over his prey (the cat always won) but I get not wanting that in a movie in 2021. However, abandoning or "canceling" Pepe is equally dumb. Why not address it in a creative way instead?

They should just reimagine Pepe as an obnoxiously snobby French man. Don't think anyone in America will have a problem with that.

I absolutely hate what this world is turning out to be. I'm kinda glad I'm not in my 20's.

I wont be watching this fucking movie.

Chill out. The scene wasn't cut. It was never even animated.

So you're even older than your 20s and getting bent out of shape about a cartoon character?

Everyone remembers the original Space Jam was terrible, right? Like, let's pump the brakes a bit here.

I liked it, still do. Still have the soundtrack for the title song as well as the Monstars Jam with Busta Rhymes, B Real, and about 10 other people.

It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's a nice fun movie.

Time would be better spent just watching the original Looney Tunes over a two hour commercial / LeBron love fest.

It's not about your individual experience. It's about promoting behavior in general that was once okay and now is not. Which has happened throughout history.

I look back at 80's teen boy coming of age comedies and as a teen myself then, man we were some creepy stalker losers for half the stuff portrayed in those films. If I tried any of that shit today, I'd get a restraining order placed on me.

Totally agree. I have all the Golden Collections and side DVD releases being a huge Looney Tunes fan. At the start of Covid, needing a laugh, I decided to watch them all in a row over a few weeks. By mid-way point I was screaming "just kill him, already!!!!"

Now if you really want a challenge try watching that massive 3 Stooges set that came out years ago. Nyuck nyuck

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there a few toons where the cat, at the end, thought Pepe was a male cat and became the aggressor chasing him?

If you want to be a real modern day do-gooder, you can pay to see it two additional times for me and Csant.
