The thing about Polanski is he would be out of jail by now had he not fled the country, he would've only been in jail 3-5 years, Michael Vick served that and is playing in the NFL still.

Yeah, but Vick wasn't a child molester/rapist. Cruelty to animals is nothing compared to crimes against kids and being a rapist will stay with you forever. Inmates hate crimes against kids. They would have fucked Polanski up; probably the first chance they got him alone.
