There's no one I love seeing die more than Jeffrey Dean Morgan's characters. And I think every character he has ever played dies on screen.

In a film as over stuffed as this, that kind of exposition is ESSENTIAL.
The movie as a whole would fall apart without it.

I'm sure the Wayne murders won't take up more than one minute in the movie. It will probably just be a very brief flashback like in Tim Burton's Batman.

Our long national wait is over! We finally get a glimpse of Batman's origin on the big screen. :lol:

This was a very effective trailer. Snyder may be an average director but he is money when comes to shooting material needed for a trailer. His visual style works great in short bursts.

Lex's casting still looks odd but we'll see how it plays out in a three-hour movie.

I think this is the trailer that just tipped box office grosses over one billion dollars. This movie needed a great trailer and we got it.

I think it's awesome we see a Robin costume too, presumably Todd the way it says "jokes on you Batman" on it.

Dunno if anyone else remembers, but this is exactly what was being said a month or two prior to the opening of MoS.

While it's cool that they are going to deal with fallout from the end battle of that film, you simply can't humble the character enough in a second film to make up for the arrogance and mindlessness he displays in the climax and coda of the first movie. Even if he showed up on his mothers porch and cried about the all the people that were killed "on his watch", it would feel phony and insufficient.

Cool, iconic shots though as is par for the course with a Zack Synder trailer. And as long as all we see of Gadot is her posing in costume, and not emoting, she'll remain a viable WW up until opening night.

Yeah agree with a lot of this. The trailers for Man of Steel were impressive and I remember before it came out how so many thought it was going to be a modern classic Superman film. Instead there was a pretty mixed reaction overall to that film though.

I'll give Snyder credit in that this trailer does look impressive and it made someone like me who's been doubting this film second guess myself. I think there are a lot of cool moments in this trailer that make the fanboy in me happy (moreso than there are things I don't like in it). At the end of the day like I said earlier though I think I'll enjoy this to some extent, but I don't think its going to go down as a classic or anything.

I don't know. Robin's costume is most definitely in this new BvS trailer though. I took a couple screenshots below spoiler tagged for size.

The first picture you can clearly see Robin's domino mask. The second picture you can see the "R" insignia on his chest.

I'm not sure what weapon that is he is holding. Tim Drake (the third Robin) uses a quarterstaff, but that doesn't look like a quarterstaff. It looks more like a fireplace poker or a spear.

I'm curious as to how Wayne Manor reaches the condition its in during the trailer. It almost looks like its been abandoned or something and he goes back there for the Batcave when he (presumably) decides to take back up the mantle of Batman. The trailer seems like he's not been active as Batman for a while.

Bizarro has had more than one origin story where Luthor attempted to clone Superman and ended up creating Bizarro instead. The kneeling "Superman" could be a Superman clone who hasn't physically deteriorated to the classic Bizarro appearance yet.
