Batman basically wears a mechanized suit of armor like Iron Man to physically confront a weakened Superman. I hope Snyder is using the footage to tease fanboys and won't include it in the actual movie. The Dark Knight Returns is a Batman story through and through and turns Superman into a tool.

I'm already expecting a scene where Wonder Woman beats the hell out of Superman at some point to establish her power to the audience.

This may come across as a big spoiler to some people so I'll mask it just in case

So in light of that coming out a year earlier, which is basically the same kind of thing, Again I have to wonder if any thing in BvS is actually going to seem that fresh and new by the time it actually hits the screen.

Honestly that's a big problem with the film in general and why I don't expect it to do as well as DC expects it to. By the time this film is out there will have already been two Avengers films and while the prospect of seeing Batman and Superman together for the first time in a live action film is going to be cool to a lot of people this film is building off nothing except Man of Steel and hype. The team up idea has already been done and done well by Marvel. DC is really coming in a day late and a dollar short compared to Marvel if you ask me.

Agreed. But I must assume Batman teams up with Wonder Woman so that she can fill the Oliver Queen role in that fight (as well as that of the nuke). It's the only way Batman will stand a chance, even with the armored suit.

I saw photos of the main players from Batman V Superman together at Comic Con. Was that not for some panel? (I'm serious, I've been out of town and following news on my phone).

Did Marvel have some footage to show in 2010, or was it just the lame Sam Jackson voice over where they missed the opportunity for an "Avengers Assemble" reference?

You seem to be complaining for the sake of complaining. I also wouldn't compare DC to Marvel in terms of marketing, given how haphazardly this entire project has come together.

That's just it. How long have they've (WB & The Rock) been teasing their association? Rock was at SDCC and was Tweeting pics of Black Atom over the weekend yet...nothing was announced. Oh wait, they did show a clip that'll never be used in the film and a heavily photoshopped pic. Get da fuck outta here. :lol:

I'm looking forward to seeing the film and was/I'm hyped about Bruce Afleck but everything associated with the flick so far seems so ..............joyless? I wanna be excited!

Unless there are major story problems, this movie is going to surpass the Avengers in domestic box office. Batman uber alles and Ben Affleck looks great in the suit, which is about 80% of the needed pre-hype marketing.
