I hear they're going for the slicked back look as Superman because it will be revealed that this is in the Lois & Clark continuity.

I hope Tempus makes an appearance and gets all flustered that Lois is no longer fooled by Clark's glasses.

And then he introduces the multiverse where the Nolan trilogy is canon

If they bring the multiverse into the movies, then EVERYTHING would be canon. Even Adam West Batman would be canon.

Then we get a Crisis movie where Adam West Batman, Michael Keaton Batman, Batnipples Batman, and Christian Bale Batman all meet each other.

Zach Snyder made the unfortunate decision of hiring a Superman who's going to be bald by the time he's 35.

This movie has a huge hurdle to climb for the internet to accept it.

I agree. The negative buzz from the on-set photos is reaching critical mass, and by "critical mass" I mean approximately 5% as bad as the reaction to the negative buzz on the X-Men movie that spawned 6 sequels and spinoffs and is still going strong 14 years later.

I never said I think it's going to fail. In fact I think we'll have a lot of surprised folks around here when the DCU makes a ton of money. Those people will still be bitching about how the movies suck because they didn't do things like Marvel did. They'll probably cite the Transformers franchise as proof that bad movies can be wildly successful, but the MCU is of course flawless.

Yeah, that's the one. He was the version in the 1990s JLA comics I read, and seemed to be what the version from the Bruce Timm series was based upon.

Yeah, I know all about the dark days of the 1990s. I wasn't into comics then, thankfully.

The second one is better than the first. The third is godawful.

Actually, my friend has the game and said Aquaman was a badass in it because of the trident. Though maybe Aquaman has some electric-eel-in-the-ass fetish or something.

I suppose having a cape which is too long is a little more practical when you can fly.

Hey, he's shooting 35mm. I'll cut him some slack.

But in the end does it really matter? The same people complaining about everything DC does will be first in line for Batman v Superman, then promptly run back to complain online...and then they'll be first in line for the next movie...

And WB will be more than happy to take their money each time.

It isn't really a huge issue for me in the long run, but it definitely isn't helping matters when the character looks sort of goofy going off of set pictures. This film has far more problems to overcome in my mind though than just that.

So Supes will be bald and Lex has a huge head of hair. Alternate universe DC!

Believe me, you posts about his hair are nothing compared to what I'm seeing on DC FB pages.

But yeah, it's DC...I expect "hate", comparison to Marvel's path, and harsh criticism.

It's more than think. If Batman isn't the star of this thing I'll be shocked.

Well the way its sounding this film seems a lot like an adaptation of sorts The Dark Knight Returns so I honestly wouldn't be surprised if its more Batman focused.

Co-star. Batman and Superman will get equal screen time.

No. They have said several times that it's not an adaptation. It just takes some inspiration from that comic, most notably in the look of Batman's costume. It's like Dark Knight Rises being inspired by Knightfall. Rises wasn't an adaptation of Knightfall. It just took a few inspirations from the comic.

Heck, Dark Knight Returns wouldn't work as a beginning to the DCCU anyway. That comic was at the end of Batman's career. The DCCU features an "older and more experienced" Batman, but he's not at the end of his career.
