I hear they're going for the slicked back look as Superman because it will be revealed that this is in the Lois & Clark continuity.

Then we get a Crisis movie where Adam West Batman, Michael Keaton Batman, Batnipples Batman, and Christian Bale Batman all meet each other.

I agree. The negative buzz from the on-set photos is reaching critical mass, and by "critical mass" I mean approximately 5% as bad as the reaction to the negative buzz on the X-Men movie that spawned 6 sequels and spinoffs and is still going strong 14 years later.

I never said I think it's going to fail. In fact I think we'll have a lot of surprised folks around here when the DCU makes a ton of money. Those people will still be bitching about how the movies suck because they didn't do things like Marvel did. They'll probably cite the Transformers franchise as proof that bad movies can be wildly successful, but the MCU is of course flawless.

How did that get past the CCA?
.
She sees into my soul!
I suppose having a cape which is too long is a little more practical when you can fly.
Hey, he's shooting 35mm. I'll cut him some slack.

But in the end does it really matter? The same people complaining about everything DC does will be first in line for Batman v Superman, then promptly run back to complain online...and then they'll be first in line for the next movie...
And WB will be more than happy to take their money each time.

It isn't really a huge issue for me in the long run, but it definitely isn't helping matters when the character looks sort of goofy going off of set pictures. This film has far more problems to overcome in my mind though than just that.

But yeah, it's DC...I expect "hate", comparison to Marvel's path, and harsh criticism.

That's a lame and tired joke.

Heck, Dark Knight Returns wouldn't work as a beginning to the DCCU anyway. That comic was at the end of Batman's career. The DCCU features an "older and more experienced" Batman, but he's not at the end of his career.
