Finally saw White House Down last night. I prefer Olympus Has Fallen. WHD had some nice action scenes as one might expect and over the top FX, but I really think OHF benefitted from the R rating. The action was more gritty, down and dirty, more personal. Nothing beats a knife to the skull for a great revenge scene.

I also found myself wondering when WHD was going to conclude, felt long by the end. Also I was perplexed. Obviously they couldn't kill the daughter for the storyline, but these guys obviously didn't care about anyone and was surprised they didn't come closer to offing her. It never felt like they'd really do it in spite of threatening numerous times. It is a bit clichι but they needed the loose cannon who didn't obey orders to make you think he was going to kill her.

Jamie Foxx worse performance. Didn't buy him as The President of the United States.

I thought he was good as Obama. Although I don't buy him as The President of the United States either.

I watched this last night. It was just silly. I preferred OHF way more than this. Tatum was good though.

Jamie Fox comes across as more like the mayor of Detroit.
