I have zero expectations for this. I will be a rental like the other 2 were...I will be surprised if this makes over $100 million like the other 2 did. I got a feeling this one peters out at ~$65-70 million.

I actually just caught up with the first two films in the last month (I was probably one of three people who hadn't seen the first one) and can honestly say you're not missing much. They basically remade the first film with a less interesting story and worse direction. Despite their flaws, sequels almost always try to one-up the original in some way shape or form. Not Taken 2. Everything that was good in the first one was less good in the second.

Not really. The daughter did some stuff in Taken 2 but most of the action was from Neeson. I've been one of the few who have defended the sequel. Not that I think its better than the first film but I just don't think that its really that bad either. Like I've said I sort of view it like the Die Hard sequels in that its unlikely that a similar situation would happen to the same person again, but it was still a fun film overall. I think Taken 3 will be good too if people don't have high expectations for it. I don't expect anything outstanding but it should be a fun Neeson action film if nothing else.

I also enjoyed Taken 2. I liked that Neeson was the one coaching Grace but she never magically turned into a badass. When it came time to kicking ass, it was all Neeson. I also like the one-on-one fight against his Mini Me towards the end of the movie.

Starting Saturday, I'm off 5 days, I am so seeing this movie this weekend. Can't wait to see how they wrap up Bryan Mills story. Sucks that he won't get a happy ending with Lennie.
