Kinda odd that this is being marketed as a 20th Century Studios film, yet it doesn't have the 20th Century Studios fanfare.

I'm not sure where you read that. It didn't seem that way. Regardless, aside from some de Armas nudity (which I've seen before), it was a waste of two hours.

I didn’t feel like it ended abruptly either.
It was enough to keep me intrigued.
Guy at the end was dumb. The car-bike scene was kinda silly to me. Something you could pull off in 20 years ago but is silly now.

The film and book end at the same point, different things happen but they more or less end at the same spot.
