Some writer 30 years ago thought it would be clever to say that it wasn't really Brea Tannika in the Cantina it was some joker pretending to be her and now R2 is screwed because of it.
Honestly I think it should count, I don't care if the EU is canon or not, I go by the movies.

Sorry, as I asked for characters in 1977's Star Wars, not characters based off unidentified extras from Star Wars, created years later.
R5D4 is good because I said I was also accept names of the 1977 Kenner Action Figures. I repeated 1977 in the question for this precise reason, I didn't want a bunch of people answering "Ponda Frada" or whatever Walrusman's name was changed to.
You guys were too clever for your own good.
Decision final.

Move along.

I once tried to get an autograph from the actor who played BoShek at a convention, but the line was too long and it cost $400 a pop.

F that. If you wanted characters who's names were spoken in the film or the credits or had action figures in the original 77 line, then you should have said that exactly that. I'm usually pretty chill when it comes to these games because they're just for fun and are pretty much forgotten the second that they are over, but that's just bad.

Oh, and I realize that I probably won't get much support for this one because people despise nerds arguing about Star Wars EU (which this isn't even really a case of because BoShek did have an action figure, just not in 77), but if you actually included your intended criteria in the question, I would have given a different answer. I shouldn't be penalized because I can't read your mind.

I've looked over the question, and I sympathize with your position.
However, I said 1977 Star Wars. Not the special editions, not the Expanded Universe. The film Star Wars from 1977. Using the film only, how is there a character named "Brea Tannika"? Using that movie only, how would I know that woman's name, since it isn't spoken nor listed in the credits, nor on an era action figure?
Given how anal some people get about this Original Trilogy nonsense, I would think my twice referencing 1977 would have tipped you off this sort of thing would be marked incorrect.

What do the rest of the Sheep say? Shall we give these "Star Wars" characters a correct?

And as far as R5-D4 is concerned, he was not in the original 77 line of action figures. He was in the second wave from 1978-79.

I hate to be wishy-washy, but I'll re-think the Star Wars question, and will make adjustments to the score at the end of the day. Let's see how many more questions I can do in the next hour or so.
I want to keep things fun.

S:04 –Ebert worked as a screenwriter for fellow large breast enthusiast Russ Myer. Name a Russ Myer movie.
If you are a fan of Ebert or Meyer, you should check out Ebert’s 2004 interview with Howard Stern, where Ebert tells a funny and touching story about visiting Meyer just before his passing. Should be on Youtube.

So by their logic, you could just say any background character, ie. "guy with blue hair" and it'd be correct. I say, uncredited? No dice.
