Two Bleats Up: The Roger Ebert Memorial Sheep Game

Hello, and welcome to the Sheep Game for our friend Roger Ebert. The questions are Ebert flavoured, not centric, so you don't have to be an expert on the beloved film critic, writer and humanist to play along.
Intro for first time players
Spoiler:
General Rules
Spoiler:
Game-Specific Rules
Spoiler:
Other notes
- Unless a question specifies otherwise, answers should be limited to theatrically released movies - not straight-to-DVD releases, TV films, promotional films, TV episodes, etc. If more than one movie has a particular title, please specify which one you mean (by year, stars, director ... anything that makes it clear).
- I don’t plan on taking more than 30 players, so once we get close to filling I’ll close things off (with special passes available to former Sheepmasters).
The Questions
S: 01 -Roger Ebert was a champion of DAWN OF THE DEAD since its premier in 1978, giving it 4 stars and calling it one of the best horror films ever made. Name another film directed by George A Romero
S:02 -Roger Ebert hated the star rating system, and was criticized throughout his career for giving low ratings to beloved films. Besides GODFATHER PART 2, name a popular film Ebert awarded two stars or less.
R:03 - Unlike some snobbier film critics, Ebert had high praise for the STAR WARS trilogy. Name a character who appeared in 1977’s STAR WARS. (If you don’t know the character’s name in the movie, the name given to the character’s 1977 Kenner action figure will be accepted.)
S:04 –Ebert worked as a screenwriter for fellow large breast enthusiast Russ Myer. Name a Russ Myer movie.
S:05 -Ebert was a friend of actor Charles Napier. Name a film in which Napier appears
S:06 -Ebert was proud to be the first critic to review Martin Scorsese’s debut film, WHO’S THAT KNOCKING AT MY DOOR. Name another movie directed by Scorsese featuring an actor from WHO’S THAT KNOCKING AT MY DOOR.
S:07 -One of Siskel and Ebert’s most beloved TV appearances was on the animated show THE CRITIC, featuring the voice of Jon Lovitz. Name a film featuring Lovitz.
S:08 -Recognizing he was an alcoholic, Ebert joined AA in 1979, crediting the program for helping him to never take another drink. Name a film in which the main character is an alcoholic besides LEAVING LAS VEGAS or FEAR IN LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS or any other movie taking place in Las Vegas.
R:09 -An admirer of both directors, Ebert never weighed in with an opinion about Quentin Tarantino’s use of the “n-word” in JACKIE BROWN, which was criticized most vocally by Spike Lee. Name a Spike Lee movie in which Spike Lee does not make an on-screen appearance.
S:10 -Before losing his voice, Ebert recorded DVD commentaries for movies such as DARK CITY, CITIZEN CANE, CASABLANCA, and CRUMB. Name a movie starting with a C you would have most liked to hear a Roger Ebert commentary on.
S:11 -When a Russ Myers biopic was announced, Ebert wrote the actor he would like to see play himself was Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Name a movie not directed by Paul Thomas Anderson featuring Philip Seymour Hoffman.
S:12 -Each year, Ebert compiled a list of the year’s best film. Name a movie on his list of the year’s best from between 1990-1999.
S:13 -One of Ebert’s famous bad reviews is for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE (which Siskel wrote was one of Ebert’s wife’s Chaz’s favourite movies). Name another Stanley Kubrick movie.
S:14 - While hosting the 1995 Academy Awards, host David Letterman joked, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. Unless you’re sitting next to Roger Ebert, then you know you aren’t going to get any.” Name a film that won an Academy award that year. (Remember, the awards held in 1995 were for movies released in 1994!)
S:15 - Roger Ebert wrote a novel about The Phantom of the Opera. Name an actor who played the Phantom of the Opera in a theatrically released movie.
S:16 - Both Siskel and Ebert strongly criticized the growing trend of “slasher movies” (though they both made exceptions for films like HALLOWEEN). Name a 1980’s slasher movie.
S:17 -Name a movie on Ebert’s list of The Great Movies.
R:18 –I’m pretty sure Ebert saw SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN. Name a movie musical other than CHICAGO, LES MISERABLE or MOULIN ROUGE.
S:19 - Ebert loved visiting London, taking many walks through the city. Name a film that takes place in London.
R:20 – Although hostile to 3D at the beginning, Ebert seemed to have accepted it as a new part of the cinematic experience, even praising the 3D in LIFE OF PI. Name a 3D film released before AVATAR.
S:21 – Ebert championed many documentaries, from Errol Morris to Werner Herzog. Name a documentary not directed by Michael Moore.
S:22 – In I HATED HATED HATED HATED THIS MOVIE, Ebert said he reserved ZERO star ratings for movies he considered immoral. Name a movie Ebert awarded zero stars
R:23 – Siskel and Ebert once did a show highlighting the beauty of black and white photography. Name a black and white movie made in the last twenty years.
S:24 -Ebert said that he rarely cried at movies, but cried both times he saw ANTWONE FISHER. Which movie brought YOU to tears?
And incase you want it, here is a less verbose list of the questions.

A clarification on #8: you're not asking for a movie that takes place in Las Vegas, right? It seems you're looking for a movie with an alcoholic, but it can't take place in LV. Right?

Couple of questions. For the John Lovitz question, define "starring".
Also, for some of the reverse questions, it looks like you wrote R's in front of the questions on some of them (probably as notes to yourself that you forgot to delete). However, #14 has an R in front of the question but a S in front of the number, so just to be clear, which is it?
Thanks for running this, I will have my answers in tonight or tomorrow morning after I get those clarifications.

On question 8; yes, a movie about an alcoholic, but not taking place in Las Vegas.
For the Jon Lovitz question, any movie he appeared it, be it for one scene or every single minute.
Yes, question 14 is a normal sheep question.

Yeah, clarify whether questions are sheep or reverse. Even beyond the point that Obi-Wan raised, some of the questions marked as being sheep read like a better reverse question (with a super obvious answer or two, but being challenging to come up with a lot of answers for). And some of the reverse questions are really broad and will probably get a ton a uniques.
Though its probably not good sheepmaster form to be changing the questions after they've posted (except when an error has been made). But if you legit made mistakes in marking questions as sheep or reverse, you want to get those fixed as soon as possible.
With a second sheep win under my belt, I don't feel much pressure to do well. There are a few of these I have crappy answers for, but I'm just going to roll with it

I wish you used a "healthy" picture of Ebert for the announcement/questions post. Seeing him without a jaw makes me feel really bad.

I've never played a sheep game.
Ever.
So do I send you a message, or something?

Also read up on the usage of slam dunks in the rules, and if you have any questions, ask before you submit.

Answers sent.
BTW, I didn't know any Russ Meyers movies, so I just submitted one by Russ Meyer.

Yes, if this is your first time, read up on how to use the slam dunks.
As to brainee question about Sheep questions and Reverse question, they all look the way I intended them, so they should be good to go. You made me second guess a few of my choices, but I don't want to start messing around with stuff now. I'm going to leave the questions as they stand.

My answers are submitted. So now I'm going to imdb search and see who Charles Napier is
EDIT: Shit, I should've been able to come up with a decent guess for this. As it stands, I doubt I'll be matching anyone

In. In some cases, I think saying less in the sheep questions would be better. I'm all for commentary...but sometimes I think you're giving away too much right in the text.

Also, didn't Ebert give Godfather II 3 stars? I thought the controversy came when he gave Godfather III a higher score.

For #23, can the movie have any color? For example, would Raging Bull and The Picture of Dorian Gray qualify if they were made in the last 20 years?

If you submitted either of those answers I would have accepted them, as I imagine most people would consider them B&W movies. Something like The Wizard of Oz which was about 2/3's colour, or Natural Born Killers which used significant B&W footage mixed in with colour, I would count as incorrect.

Sent in my crappy answers as well.

Re: Two Bleats Up: The Roger Ebert Memorial Sheep Game
Just realized I mistakenly answered #19 as a reverse question. It'll probably be a wash between the sure 0 I'll get with my original answer and the improvement I'll get with a new answer (but with a penalty).
EDIT: Ah hell, I changed it. Following the honor code, I didn't touch any of the other questions that I looked up on the web in the meantime.
