re: Veronica Mars Kickstarter
Anyone know if any of the original main cast has a reason not to do the movie? I think only Bell has a ongoing regular gig.
Someone should tweet Craigy Ferg to see if he'll do a telethon episode to raise awareness.

I think everyone would come back. And even smaller characters for small bits. Like I said... I'd love for Veronica to run into Deputy Leo so we get some Max Greenfield love. He recently ran into Bell and Rico at a King's game and tweeted a pic. Ken Marino would have to make an appearance as well.
They need to get new big ticket rewards up quickly.

Once they open up some international rewards, they'll double their funding pretty quick.

So what are we thinking... 2 million by 10/11pm EST?

They are close to $1.7 million with over 25k backers. They will hit the goal soon. They might add additional big rewards if they really want to push the total way past goal but might space it out.
Still, pretty impressive first day.

This news made me really happy today. I was kinda embarrassed to admit that I pledged $100 for this, but when I started thinking I readily throw that money at concerts, it didn't sound so bad.

1.8 million. I really didn't think this would reach its goal in one day (more like 2/3 days), but it certainly looks like that will be the case. This is pretty damn amazing. This could be a great precedent.

Never seen this show but it'll be interesting to see what seems to be the biggest kickstarted movie to date. Gonna have to track the show down.

Just like Double Fine kicked off the trend of video game companies Kickstarting their projects, I can see this doing the same for movies. In just a few months, expect to see Ted Lange trying to raise $20 million for his Love Boat spin-off called "Outta Sight".
