Who's the chick she hangs out with? I didn't finish the videos.

I've been with the same nerd-girl for the last several years. I had to teach the ways of comic books and shows like Buffy, but she knows way more about X-Files, Anime and the Star Trek universe then I do. Saying they don't exist is silly.

Yeah. Honestly that's about right.

Maybe my defintion of hipster isn't the exact Webster's defintion of a hipster, but I know exactly what type of people I hate and hipster is as good a word as any for me to use.

When I say "fucking hipster" around my friends when describing somebody, they also know exactly who and what I'm talking about.

Sounds like that bitter chick in that thread called the bachtel test about women in films.

I haven't seen her other videos, but I liked these LOTR ones. Other than the Frodo Fall Count (which was very funny), most of the humor fell flat, but I'd rather have a few strained jokes spread across four 20-minute videos than the constant unfunny humor of Plinkett in the Red Letter Media reviews (and don't get me wrong, I love the criticism in the RLM reviews, but the humor is much better in the Half In The Bag segments, because there they use the humor to punctuate what's wrong with the films, not just throw in random shit).

All hipsters are annoying people. Not all annoying people are hipsters.

For reference, see half of all the posts in the Episode VII thread.

Has this chick done anything else? I've never watched a Nostalgia Chick video before but I can't help thinking that I've seen her somewhere before.

Yup. That's true. I remember reading about that years ago. I like Hugo Weaving but I don't get what Peter Jackson was smoking when he turned down David Bowie.

He was probably thinking that Bowie reminded him of the Babe.

Hugo Weaving is 1000x the actor David Bowie is. You should cast somebody just because they "look the role".

Especially in a movie where half the cast is is altered by computer imaging. I'm sure Jackson could have given Hugh Weaving a narrower face without breaking the budget.

Re: Nostalgia Chick's Lord Of The Rings Trilogy review

David Bowie is a solid actor and could have easily played Elrond. It's not like anyone watches The Lord of the Rings and says, "Ian McKellan? Eh. Christopher Lee? He was alright. But man, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, that's the stuff!"

Yes, there are. Thankfully my Science Fiction prof is one of them.

Again...the one on the right.

Talking about her. I've seen this dog several times now. I know deep down...it wants to die. My prof is one of those women that loves to spoil their dog...but the dog doesn't give a fuuuuuuuuuck except for a stomach rub or food.

You should totally put it to her. Make those bangs curl. Pop it in the toaster. Park the yacht in Hair Harbor. And buzz the brillo.
