I choose not to compare it to anything. I thought the movie was a badass motherfucker, simple as that. On the spectrum of movies, from "I'll Get By" to "Shakin'", this one gets a definite Shakin'.

I like that spectrum.

Too bad the film really wasn't.

Tried watching Raid 1 and I just couldn't get into it so I gave up in order to give it another go later. I love martial arts flicks, too. I just couldn't get invested in it.

Couldn't get into it? You're dead to me. It's one of the fastest moving action packed movies I've seen. Part 2 is on steroids.

Well I was on a treadmill at the time and I felt I was missing too much of the story (I know it's not much of a story ) but I was missing too many snippets so I gave up.

If all of those scenes were added into the movie (plus the Gang Warfare scene on the blu) the movie would be 168 minutes!

Funny, they couldn't even put theses deleted scenes on the blu ray.

Such funny bullshit, but whatever. He made it sound like it was just plain impossible to get them on the DVD/Blu. Poor guy had a moment of rest, god bless him. He should have provided insight as to why there wasn't an editor for the film.

What do you expect, the man's schedule is insanely busy, what with working on The Raid 3, a Star Wars spinoff, and Godzilla 2 all at the same time. Cut him some slack.
