What Movies Do You Use For Double Features?

Let's try to leave direct sequels out of this, unless they are really personal.

I sometimes break out my Universal Monsters dvds at Halloween and watch something like The Mummy or Creature From the Black Lagoon. I also like to watch the movies Robocop and Starship Troopers together. Mainly because they were done by the same writer, producer, director team. Also, the world portrayed in Robocop could easily be the same one in Starship, except in the past.

Other picks:

Prometheus and Alien-not direct!

Scott Pilgrim and Ghostbusters

When I watch more than one movie at a time I usually like to choose two different genres to break up the mood a bit but occasionally I will do a "double feature". My last few double features have been:

E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Gladiator
Kingdom of Heaven: DC

Robocop
Dredd

I think Jackie Brown and Out of Sight might make a good one, with the crime theme and Michael Keaton's character connecting them. Provided the combined length of about 4.5 hours isn't a problem.

American Graffiti

with

Dazed and Confused

(if I could find a flick set in the eighties that featured a lot of driving and music, then it'd be a sweet trilogy)
