I enjoyed Alita. I'm hoping they do the sequel. Fucking suits probably won't though.

While I will agree the movie's visuals were good , I still don't get all of the love this movie gets, and I've actually read the manga and realize it did a good job capturing the look. I just felt the whole thing was a fancy looking teenage love story.

What's wrong with a teenage love story? That's just one aspect of the movie.

Personally, I think it felt both rushed and incomplete, as it got through a lot of story fast, but it also seemed to be setting up a sequel instead of providing a satisfying conclusion on its own. The visuals and action were good though, especially in 3D, and the pace was brisk so it was never boring.

It wasn't loved by critics though. It's just barely "fresh" on Rottentomatoes, although the audience score is much more favorable:

It's basically a "good not great" film. There's little to actually hate about the movie, and I wouldn't mind seeing sequels, but I'm not upset that sequels don't seem to be forthcoming.
