Eraserhead (1977)
It was awesome to see these at a local Double Feature/Cult Film Night. Got dumped the next day though

Rachel Getting Married - 3/5
A young woman from a dysfunctional family is released from rehab right before her sister's wedding. Will everything go smoothly or will this ticking time bomb wreak havoc on her sister's special day? Worth watching mostly for Anne Hathaway's excellent intense performance.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist - 2.5/5
The life of a successful Pakistani man living in New York changes for the worse after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Could have been an interesting story of loyalty & identity but instead takes the easy way out by drowning itself in heavy handedness and melodrama. So much wasted potential.

Wassup Rockers - 2.5/5
Seven teenage Hispanic skaters from South Central LA try to make some understanding of a world that views them as outcasts. Another directionless youth film from Larry Clark that feels like it's almost part documentary. Some good moments in between the filler.

Netflix - The Wave (2015)
The Wave is a masterpiece...if only Roland Emmerich natural disaster films were this good.

I watched Star Trek Beyond today. There were about seven people in the whole theater. I really liked the movie, but I thought it was a little too long and it was really sad to see Anton Yelchin playing Chekhov for the last time. 3.5/5

Hell or High Water - 4.5/5
Two brothers go on a spree of robberies in order to obtain the money to prevent the bank from taking over their family's property. On their trail is a dedicated Texas Ranger set on capturing them before he retires. Excellent well made film in just about every aspect, one of the best of 2016.

Saw all 3 of these this weekend.
Sausage Party was alright. It had some laughs, but I wouldn't watch it again.
I liked The Legend of Tarzan. It was surprisingly fun even though it's heavy CGI
Bastille Day was okay. Felt like one of those low budget Luc Besson action movies. I liked it mainly for Idris Elba.

I also watched The Hateful Eight tonight. I didn't like it. It was way too long and I didn't feel like there was a pay off for sitting through the nearly three hour movie. 2/5

Entourage the Movie on HBO
Most of those guys are has-beens now and except for Jeremy Piven you don't see on TV or in movies anymore.

Splinter - small horror flick from several years ago. Kind of schlocky. The body horror stuff was pretty effective. 2.5/5
