Re: Warm bodies
I really liked this movie. The possibilities of them stinking up adapting the book were plentiful, but they really pulled it off. The cast was fantastic, the script was smart but not overly so, and I really found myself caring about the story and the characters.
The only issue I had was that they were a bit literal and loud with their musical choices, but I can forgive that considering how much I liked the movie as a whole.

For this movie, advance free screenings have been going on since mid December in major cities throughout the nation. Although I didn't go to that one, I did go to one earlier this week and thought the movie was okay.

It's that time already?
But yeah as for the movie, I thought a lot of his narration was corny as hell. The friend of the girl with the music was a funny moment though. A lot of the "getting to know you" stuff was okay, but the third act wasn't too bad.

Speaking of stinking up...
I don't know if this has ever been brought up in any walking dead/zombie flicks (I've seen all the original Romero "_____ of the Dead" movies and a few others), I have yet to see it mentioned that zombies ought to smell to high heaven. I mean, really, with bodies dead for days, weeks, months, even years... all that rotting flesh... one would think the stench of them would have people retching so violently they couldn't defend themselves... or passing out.
At the very least, the smell should prevent a zombie from catching anyone by surprise.
The closest thing I've ever seen that dealt with the issue of smell and the undead (and this wasn't a zombie) took place in the TV movie Night Stalker when a character tells Kolchack that the vampire had really bad breath.

My fiancée isn't a horror fan but I think I have her convinced to see this with me.

Saw it. Liked it overall, and was pleasantly surprised to find it was more of a zombie movie than a love story. I hope there is an unrated version of this floating around somewhere, I would be interested to see it with a bit more of a gore factor.

Re: Warm bodies
This was a fun movie. The wife and I did a double date with another couple, after it ended, the only way i could describe it was, "Optomists need a zombie movie too!"
Finished the day off with a real zombie apocalypse (Walking Deads return). So a good day for zombies all around.
