Made $160m ww on a $70m budget.

Domestically, it's the highest grossing of the franchise.

Total Recall made $196m ww on a $125m budget.

Shouldn't Atlas Shrugged, part II: The Strike be on this list?

A list of the top money losers would be much more interesting than this list. “Premium Rush" did not come close to losing cash like "John Carter" did.

Of those, I've only seen Dredd (in the theater, no less), and I've only even heard of three others - the rest, I've never even heard of. Where have I been?

Technically in raw numbers Premium Rush ($35 Budget/$29 WW Gross) did... It didn't even break even with international numbers, John Carter ($250 Budget/$282 WW Gross) technically did... Of course the Forbes list is going off straight numbers.

Shouldn't we just reserve a space in all future lists for the yearly Adam Sandler/Kevin James type of comedy?

As others have mentioned, Cloud Atlas hasn't opened in many countries yet and it was an independent production. Warner was merely just a distributor due to their partnership with the Wachowskis and they neither lost or made money. However, the film's high budget ($100M) was considered due the international market where the film will actually make its money. As it stands, the film has only opened in five other markets besides the US.

... and I loved Cloud Atlas and dug Dredd, Rock of Ages and Premium Rush.

Yes, I don't think Clous Atlas will end up a flop.

Yes, but when you conider how much a movie has to make over its budget to even recoup its budget much less make a profit, Premium Rush or People Like Us cannot come close to competing with the likes of say John Carter.

I can't believe John Carter made so much world wide I thought it was boring.
