I don't think he's involved with the movie, not with regards to Artoo at least.. These days a fully-functioning remote control R2-D2 should be easy to build and work. Sticking the old guy inside a trash can like they had to decades ago seems unnecessary and cruel with today's tech.

In some scenes you are inside R2-D2, in other scenes, it is remote controlled.
Is there (apart from the scenes where R2 is rolling) an easy way for the viewer to see whether it’s you or the remote-controlled droid?
By R2’s extension leg. When they were using that, they swapped R2. I can tell when I am in it because I know the way I move. For others it is hard to tell. The R2 I use is the two-legged one, the one that reacts to dialogue. When it is moving, chasing or rolling; no way my R2 can do that! That one has the third leg, the motor and the steering device.

You could tell when Harrison Ford starts talking on the panel he was very nervous. He was rubbing his own legs like crazy. He must be naturally press shy.

On painkillers too, perhaps? Which suddenly reminds me, did the same leg get hurt during filming?

Plus its not like Disney has to release the original Original Trilogy just by itself. Either package it in a box set with the special editions of the Original Trilogy or put it in some ultimate set with all the films. There's really no good reason to not put it out other than Lucas being stubborn.

6,500 people whipped into a frenzy can be a bit daunting. His first visit to ComicCon was when he made a surprise visit for the Cowboys vs Aliens panel. I think the size of the room took him aback. But it's great to see him return. Hopefully this movie does better

Everybody gibber jabbers in here but what is the status of production? Is filming fully wrapped? Any reshoots? What are they doing now? Just editing and special effecting? When is scoring? That should indicate substantial picture lock. Just five months to go.

I think there's a core group of fans who really want the Original Trilogy but I think for most people they'll just buy whatever is out. Packaging it in some ultimate set makes the most sense in my opinion.

Filming has been done for quite a while now. Abrams already has a cut of the film, now it's just fine-tuning things and completing the effects. The John Williams recording sessions have been taking place all summer in L.A. since the first week of June.

Has Ford said anything about upcoming projects since the crash? I assume they're still planning on doing Blade Runner 2 with him as I haven't heard them say they're not.

The one thing about him is he is always candid, so you're not getting BS movie hype 101 from him. He could have just sat there and said that he was happy to be back, etc. But he was honest and said, "I never thought of what Han Solo would be doing 30 years from now, cause I never thought I would do another SW movie." And that is why I trust him when he said he loves the script and the story by Kasdan and JJ.

He's awkward in EVERY interview I have ever seen him do. It's really strange because he actually is a funny guy, but his humor comes off as very dry in settings like this because he gets so nervous and alot of people miss the joke.

No idea but I could see him getting whatever his top salary is for Star Wars. Disney knows how much people want to see Han again.

I bet Ford is getting MORE than 20 million. I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting upwards of 50-70 million with a set amount plus part of the back end. He's too integral a part of a 4 billion dollar investment not to have him be the main actor to kick off the debut film of Disneys Star Wars. Ford made 65 million for Indy 4. There's no way he makes less for this. Especially if its a one shot deal and Han dies.

Isn't it standard operating procedure on Spielberg movies for he and the lead to take a cut of the film's profits as part of their salary? In the case of Indy IV, that take must've been enormous.
