Did you guys expect Owen to walk up to C-3PO and be like "oh shit! 3PO? What's up? I ain't seen you in like 30 years."

And they should have gone out for a night on the town getting drunk at the Mos Eisley cantina like best buds who haven't seen each other in a long time.

Right but still like others have mentioned when 3PO opens his mouth his voice seems fairly like something a person who previously owned or worked with would recognize. It just feels odd that he wouldn't think that he owned him previously and it makes you wonder why Lucas added that to the prequels at all if it wasn't a callback to something that happens later.

Protocol droids are "fluent in six million forms of communication" as C3PO says, so they all speak the same languages.

Just posting this comic scan because it ties into the current discussion.
I don't really have anything else to add.

@Bob_Bobbson
I don't like the prequels but that's a good use of the story canon. The comic scan reminds me too much that Vader says "Yippee!" but overall it's pretty good, especially the art.

I'm sure there are ways to excuse it, but like many things in the Prequel Trilogy it's a somewhat sloppy explanation for something that Lucas did to try and tie the two trilogies together that doesn't totally work.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but did anyone else notice that between the 2 teasers John Boyega has 3 clips and each one is just him breathing VERY heavy and looking completly out of breath? Which leads me to my next question, is a significant portion of this movie just going to be John Boyega running? I hope so.

So do people think Luke will be unmasked in the second film as the Big Bad that needs to be defeated in the third?

If so, I hope they have a good explanation for it. You could maybe say that he had touched the dark side during his fights with Darth Vader and feared it, but the Luke we saw at the end of Jedi seemed very proud and content.

I actually did notice that. I was going to make a post saying how his range of acting is pretty narrow
