I would love to see a scene of Luke training his own padawan in the style of Yoda with raising the X-Wing and "Do or do not. There is no try." and that kind of stuff.

I also hope Luke dies sometime in the trilogy and Episode IX ends with Force Ghosts of Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Luke all together. (And put Shaw as the Anakin ghost back in!!)

The thought of that just gave me a chub.

Don't know if anyone posted this yet but here's the trailer with the crowd reaction. Even with the poor video quality the crowds enthusiasm really puts this trailer over the top. I couldn't be more excited to see this.

God in heaven what a trailer. Some might not agree but it is impossibly exciting to have a talented director who is passionate for Star Wars helming one of the main films again.

thanks for posting this. gave me even bigger chills with the crowd reaction. I love how they were all hootin' and hollerin' when the Falcon was flying around then the moment they heard Han's voice... not a fucking peep. LOL.

Yeah, people wrongly attribute human lifespan to Chewie when he isn't even human.

The Star Wars wiki says Chewie was 200 years old in A New Hope. The wiki also says wookiees have an average lifespan of 400 years. So in "human years" he is only about 35 to 40.

I STARTED GETTING GREY HAIR WHEN I WAS IN MY LATE 20s. A strand or two on Chewie wouldn't have killed them. (but I am just picking nits here, the trailer made my balls swell).

Some people do go grey early, but that's rather rare. Steve Martin went grey really early too.

I am 36. I don't have any grey. I have started growing nose and ear hair though. Honestly I think I would prefer the grey over nose hair.

Any way I could get a copy of your mixed audio version? PM me if you don't want to post it publicly.

Loved the new trailer. I can't lie I'm not a huge hardcore Star Wars fan, but I do love it and I shed a little tear. I really think JJ will do a good job with this as long as everyone keeps their expectations in check. I just watched the Episode 1 trailer and really that trailer wasn't that great. If it wasn't for their being a new Star Wars I don't think most people would have cared.

Nonsense. That was a fantastically put together trailer.

In regards to this trailer vs The Phantom Menace trailer:

It's impossible to watch The Phantom Menace trailer now without thinking about how utterly buttfucking awful the movie is. I remember when it premiered I went absolutely nuts for it. I would say that in terms of editing, this trailer is far superior. In terms of the final film, obviously we don't know yet. But it would be difficult to make a movie worse than The Phantom Menace.

Where is Lawrence K in all of this? Would have been nice if he could have been on TFA panel and talked a little about their approach to the script. Or if JJ could have mentioned him at all.
