Yeah, it should have been Rambo: First Blood III.

Like the Indiana Jones movies before they went back and changed the titles. The first one had an entirely different name and the the sequels all put Indiana Jones in front of the title.

So it should have been First Blood (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Rambo: First Blood II (Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom) and Rambo: First Blood III (Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade)

I did like that the last one was simply called Rambo though.

A VIEW TO A KILL (yes, I know there's that line "what a view...to a kill." Neither make sense!)

I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (but it was last summer in the last movie...it should have been "I Still Know What You Did The Summer Before Last Summer" )

Speaking of Gus Van Sant movies Elephant has nothing to do with Elephants, that title makes no sense.

Awesome crossover idea, but the title is way too long!

I believe it's referring to "the elephant in the room," i.e., a problem that everyone is aware of but nobody wants to talk about. I think it's a great title.

Re: Movie titles that don't make sense

Wow, 3 pages and no mention of Final Destination 2, 3, or 5. The whole concept of using "final" in the title of films in a chain of sequels is just irritating and I don't care if they caught on by the 4th film and called it The Final Destination...b/c it wasn't, they made a 5th.

Re: Movie titles that don't make sense

Back to the Future is one of the best and most apt movie titles.

I'll throw in, History of the World: Part 1
Cause there were no other parts.

Also, the John Rambo discussion/confusion reminded me of this.

Yeah, not sure how the OP missed that the opening scene takes place in Fargo, when Jerry first negotiates the deal. They don't return there, but that's where all the trouble starts.

Actually, yes. I'm not sure about all of them, but most have had a mention in there about the date.

It would be kinda funny if all the movies took place on Friday the 13th because then killing all those people is like Jason's birthday gift to himself.

Most of them. Part 2 and 4 couldn't have because they took place only 2 days before and after part 3.

Christ, weren't you paying attention? We see House Appropriations Bill 19838 getting filibustered on C-Span in the background.
