I am still pissed that they didn't find a real Amazonian woman to play Wonder Woman in the new Batman V Superman film.

agree with this as well. i love TDK, only saw Rises once, but Batman Begins remains one of my most viewed movies since it's home video release.

I still enjoy Batman Begins. It took what should have been something really boring (another origin story) and made something interesting of it. Plus the chase scene with the Batmobile on the rooftops makes my subwoofer cry.

Wow learn how to read. I said it is the only one out of the 3 that tells a true Wayne/Batman story. Nowhere did I say Wayne/Batman is real.
Instead of asking if Santa is real you should be asking if your eyes are real.

No need to be a snarky asshole. I was obviously just joking with you.

I thought that BB was the weakest IMO and I am not a comic book person so I am only judging from a cinematic standpoint.
The sequels to me had better cinematography, choreographed action scenes and acting.

Also my snarky attitude is no more than yours with the Santa Claus comment. If you don't want that attitude don't dish it out.

Bane is a poorly-realized character that does little more than talking in a funny voice while moving the plot along as needed. That accounts for everything on that list.

I fucking knew the first response would be Guru or stvn. You guys are more predictable than Nolan's giant plot holes.

Though I will agree with Guru on this one, Bane was poorly realized, and it's pretty obvious watching the movie that Nolan was on auto-pilot for most of it.

I do think Bane could have been fleshed out a bit more but I overall didn't think he was that bad. I'd love to see the Bane footage that supposedly exists that wound up on the cutting room floor.

I still haven't seen it so I can't really delve too deeply into making fun of its less-than-stellar (get it?) reception. But I'll watch it on Blu.
I obviously have a lot of criticisms when it comes to Nolan but if there was one single criticism in the whole Nolan filmography that I feel is nearly-undeniable its that the writer's hand is completely apparent and obvious in the TDKR screenplay and the whole thing is mechanical and inorganic in its structure.
Even good writers have trouble with exposition and when its successful you still probably have like 15% or 20% of the audience that understands the nature of storytelling enough to pick up on it.
TDKR is one of those screenplays where probably 90% of the audience knows the last shot of the movie as soon as Michael Caine tells his story about drinking cappucino in Italy. The only thing that could make it more obvious is if there was flashing text on the screen saying THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT LATER in big red block letters.
And that's just one example. You see things like that scene after scene.
And Bane has to do all the things laid out in that fan theory for Nolan's "The Dark Knight Returns by way of pretentious Eurotrash" interpretation to stay on the rails.

I have been watching the Batman television series on BD and those episodes where the villains use convoluted plans to get Batman and Robin in some trap still aren't as silly and stupid as the Joker's plan in the Dark Knight or Talia's daddy issues revenge plot on The Dark Knight Rises.

I love the 66 series as much as anyone but that statement is just trolling man come on. I know you dislike the Nolan films but that's ridiculous.

But alas, I like Nolan movies because they entertain me a great deal and tend to be a good bit different than what's usually released. Not because I think they're flawless, deep or particularly phenomenal.
With that said, I didn't feel The Joker's scheme was particularly convoluted in TDK outside of the boats sequence, but that was a relatively small aspect of the overall movie. I think he needs a third party to revise his scripts for plot (and add some character), Interstellar had a similarly unnecessary 3rd act (of 4). I get the complaints on his convoluted setups being a problem for some, but that stuff honestly doesn't bother me. Regardless, TDKR is easily his laziest movie from every perspective. TDK was the movie he wanted to make, and it's like he checked out after that.
