Now there we agree. However, I also think that Hell Comes To Frogtown also destroys Prometheus.

Ahem:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/search.php?searchid=3986168
(in case the link does not work, it's for a two-page search result list of the word "fuck" in this thread. Not including this iteration.)
Also, I'm sure Solid Snake PAC would probably have something to say about that....can only imagine what though.

Episodes 1 -3 of what? The Batman TV show? The animated series?

This is total nonsense. I am up to 3 viewings and I STILL cannot make up my fucking mind how to rate this film.

ya if you've sat though a 2 hour and 45 minute movie 3 times in just a couple weeks time then you love the damn thing
i really really liked it and i don't really care to watch it again right now
liked Dark Knight even more and only saw that a second time while it was in theaters

I did see Batman and Robin twice in the theater because I couldn't believe it was that unbelievably bad after the first time.

To be fair, I went 3 times with 3 different sets of people. And I never said I didn't like it, I LOVE most of it, I'm just not sure where I place it in the trilogy, still. Alas, I'm done with it until BD, time to let it marinate in my mind for a while.

I wanted to see it again today after seeing it last night. The movie flew by for me.

We'll buy a Norse God, a dude in a flying metal suit, enemies from another diminsion, a guy whose weapon is a freaking shield and a Hulk who's character arc is "I'm completely out of control and then completely in control 14 seconds later", but when a guy recovers from a back injury in 5 months, somehow that's a bridge too far.
Nolan never established that Wayne had some kind of supernatural healing ability (in fact, they've made a big point about how beat up he gets) but a magic punch in dank prison and some cot time is all he needed to recover from a broken back...that's not consistent with the world they've established.
For the record, I didn't care too much about the punch because of course he has to get better to go back and beat up Bane. I rolled with that okay.
One thing I didn't really get and maybe a rewatch would help, but how come Bruce survived the fall during his escape attempt with the rope around his waist no problem but it somehow killed the other guy that tried it? There was a big ol' snapping sound effect when the first guy tried and I believe the indication was that it killed him. But Bruce does it and it just hurts a bit. Seeing that made me wonder why more people didn't attempt it. They should have shown him grabbing a ledge at the last second to make what happened to him different then what they'd already established.

People always say things like this, but the world where Norse gods fly around and a guy can build a suit so far beyond our current tech level establishes those things. But Tony Stark doesn't suddenly shoot laser beams out of his eyes because that's not consistent with the rules of that world.

The first 15 minutes of that atrocity had bat ice skates popping out of their shoes, a hockey themed fight over the diamond and tandem sky surfing on doors from a missile.
I can't imagine any serious superhero movie topping it for stupidity any time soon, though Superman Returns seemed to be trying.

You're right, but the "sickening snap" sound effect certainly implied that was a one-way trip. I mean, if there were no consequences to attempting to make it with the rope, I don't know why they made such a big deal when someone was willing to try it. I thought that part was unnecessarily confusing.

I had that convo with my boss, he didn't like this movie at all because it didn't stay within it's own realm of reality. Once you establish your rules of reality, it's best to stick with em.

I am so glad there was no attempt at a Lazarus Pit. When Neeson showed up I thought that was the route they were going.

Granted, I loved The Avengers, so to me the only thing that makes this different is we don't exactly "know" how Hulk's powers work. We do know how the human body works. I'm more willing to give a pass to the fantastical (like how The Bat wouldn't actually fly...which I'm fine with) as long as the rest of the world stays the same.

Depends. That dude did snap, but that was due to how he landed. Bruce came back down limp and then there was the one where he fell the second time and mashed up against the wall. What are the odds?

I was expecting to see the return of Ra's but I never thought they would use the Lazarus Pit. I always thought that him closing his eyes right before he dies in BB was Nolan's way of leaving the possibility of his survival. Sounds corny, but maybe it was one ninja disappearing trick he didn't teach Bruce.
