Hemsworth did a great job as host. Just the right amount of self-effacing humor and he was totally game for anything. Surprised me.

This video is probably the best thing Sandler has done since he did Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison.

Here Comes Disney's Marketing arm:

Disney is giving Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” the tentpole treatment in the retail aisle, launching one of the company’s biggest licensing programs around a film.
After the first “Avengers” went on to earn more than $1.5 billion at the box office in 2012, Disney started developing strategies for the sequel. The resulting plan: “Make the big bigger,” Paul Gitter, Disney Consumer Products’ senior VP of Marvel Licensing, told Variety.
What that means is Marvel will look to reach out to a broader demographic of consumers with products tied to “Age of Ultron:” more women, and fans of individual superheroes that make up the superhero team — Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye — not just the assembled group.
“For the first film, we primarily focused on the ‘Avengers’ property and the group shots,” Gitter said. “Now we’re broadening the line and scope to create skews that focus on the team and the individuals characters, as well.” Products tied to Iron Man and Captain American typically sell the best, but each category will now be able to offer six to eight different products around each character, rather than one based around the team.

No. Fox owns that. We have Vibranium, it's a Wakandan metal... Cap's shield is made from it.
Talking about Wakanda and Vibranium... we also have Ulysses Klaw in the Age of Ultron. Much associated with his attachment to the metal and being a baddie for Black Panther. Klaw is played by Andy Serkis in AoU. So that's cool. Probably not a lot for him to do but he looks awesome as Klaw.

He's probably from whom Ultron gets the Vibranium for his final form.

I have never in my life actually been unable to acquire a game at release because I didn't pre order it. I have only been hassled by Gamestop employees with the threat that I would be unable to do so.

But because I like to play along, I'm guessing this'll do $212mm OW.

Is anyone going to attempt that 11 movie marathon?

The metrics for gauging this number seem flimsy. Based on social media posts? Because that always translates to box office dollars... Until Fandango releases sales figures any guesses are wholly arbitrary.

Late night showings: $35-40M.
Friday: $95-100M (including $35-40M late-night showings).
Saturday: $70-75M.
Sunday: $60-65M.
Opening weekend: $225-230M.
I think it'll have no problem hitting $200M in its opening weekend, but I think it could also end up being a few million short of hitting $100M in a single day which no film has been able to accomplish yet. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part II so far has been the closest with $91M on its opening day and that did over $44M in midnight box office.

Whatever it does, there's no way this movie won't be huge fucking monster hit.
And good for them, since this is what you get when you think in the long term payoff, rather than how most studios (like Sony/Fox) are obsessed about the short term payoff.

AOU will most likely begin to pull in a profit before the film even opens in North America.
