I'm glad we've mostly gotten confirmation they're changing the story somewhat. When I read the synopsis of the comic sequel a while back, I remember thinking I had no desire to see that made into a film. I love a good violent film as much as the next guy (sometimes disturbingly more), but the plot sounded like Millar was trying so fucking hard to be controversial/offensive/brutal/whatever that it turned me off.

Millar is the absolute worst major writer in comics. He's a joke.

While I agree w/ you on that. I did enjoy Nemesis for some reason. They're making that into a film btw.

He does write like a kid trying to be super cool w/ his tits, blood, and gore.

I actually didn't hate that movie. Yes, the continuity errors pissed me off but it's not a bad standalone action fick set in the TNG universe, despite it desperately trying to be a remake of TWOK.

Whoa! I really enjoyed the first movie despite how "inaccurate" it was, and if they are going to scale back how "burtal" the comic is then I'm fine with that. Kick Ass 2 (the comic) was a good read but...damn I thought for a second I was reading "Crossed". I have to agree though that the Hit Girl fight at the end should have been more personal, I was wating for Frank D'Amico to go into that whole "Don't give me that Batman crap, no one's got that drive, no one's done that many push ups..etc" but a rocket launcher? Yeah that was awesome.
