DeNiro was unstoppable... for a period.
But, for overall consistency and quality of work (even in later years), I'm going with Gene Hackman. He's such an amazing actor it's ridiculous. |

If you are going back to the 60's I would probably include Sidney Poitier on the list but would still choose Deniro.
