Remember when Billy Crystal was a "young edgy comic" like Robin Williams and Whoopie Goldberg? I remember him doing standup about having an erection that must've been crazy in 1985.

I say bring on Billy Crystal until he no longer wants to do it. We saw what happened last year when they tried to cater to the young demographic.

Pulling for Gary Oldman for best actor. About the only real reason I'm paying attention this year.

Yea but James Franco and Anne Hathaway aren't comedians although they play comedic roles. Kind of like if you hired Sean Penn to host because he played Spicoli, or Keanu Reeves because he played Ted.

They should look for a good comedian, that can appeal to a younger demographic yet older people still like them.

Mike Myers
Jim Carrey
Jack Black
Ben Stiller
Jimmy Fallon
Dana Carvey
Tina Fey

Could probably all pull off decent hosting jobs given the chance. I'm actually really surprised Jimmy Kimmel hasn't hosted the Oscars yet with them being on ABC.

So, who are you all wearing while watching tonight's Oscar telecast? I am wearing a pair of black sweatpants and and a white wife beater that I got at Wal-Mart.

Is it just me, or is there something wrong with the audio? Can anyone else here a dinging sound when Crystal (and now Hanks) is speaking? Almost like someones cell phone is going off but in the background?

Yeah, bad idea to bring him back. His schtick is so dated. At this rate, I say bring Bob Hope back next year (CGI). Or Johnny Carson.

Rooting hard for Gary Oldman even if it is practically impossible for him to win.

Hugo was my second choice prediction, but I thought Tree of Life would win this category.

I couldn't understand half of the words in Crystal's songs. I'm ok with that.

I do like the classic theater set they've gone with.
