They definitely will! In fact the last 10 yrs has been a horror lovers dream. Remember, horror people don't care about quality, they care about quantity, we've had all these screams, final destinations, saws, paranormal activities and a ton of reboots. Rec 1/2, tons of zombie flix, some good thrillers. Hostel 1/2. There have been some decent one scenario horror like open water, the ski lift thing, panic room, 1408, the ruins, phone booth...
legit horror classics are more rare, there haven't been many. maybe The Descent, 28 Days Later, Pan's Labyrinth, The Mist, Signs, and a handful of others. Serious horror people no but friday night trash, it has been a good 10 yrs.

In ten years someone on the internet will bemoan how modern horror isn't as good as classic horror like Saw and Final Destination. Circle of life.

I think 'Halloween' is the only one that stands up to the test of time. I recently watched 'Nightmare' again and it wasn't very good. 'Friday' was pretty bad.
'Texas Chainsaw' stands up ok as well but I wouldn't include it among the other films mentioned.

Well if we are going to make it that shallow, then these modern franchises will absolutely hold up. Saw is probably the biggest of the modern ones, and it will continue to entertain for years. Paranormal Activity looks to be going strong, too.

Never seen a Paranormal Activity movie until last night. Watched the first one. I'm 65 years old and seen it all but this fucker was scary. Nothing really happens in the movie but you're glued to it every second. I don't feel any need to see it again, or the sequels either. That last shot gets it out of your system. It holds up for someone who's never seen any of the franchise. Felt like watching a recently made movie. It sticks withyou a while. Noises at night. What was that? It was fun. I watched it alone. If married and you watch it together you could fuck with the other person for a while.
