Then you're part of the problem. You want the rights to revert back to Marvel/Disney, don't support the Sony Spider-man films and get 50,000,000 others to do the same.
Otherwise this "why can't they sell back the rights" is

Who gives a fuck about Avengers cameo? That's least of worries for this franchise. How about we get a better script? Take out cliche generic crap and fine tune the genre staples to be fresh? That'd be nice for ASM2.

Plus, not every Marvel character is an Avenger. I know Spider-Man is in the comics now, but they don't need to turn these into Marvel Team-Up: The Movies. Who cares if Ghost Rider can't hang out with Thor?

Exactly. Focus on the character. Make him stronger. I know that The Avengers set up had to pretty much be the way it was cuz well..that's a good amount of characters to get out there and then have them all in one. Spidey doesn't need that. Whatsoever. They do. They're the core team or characters very closely attached to that team. Again...Spidey has a shit ton of characters in himself. I like that Spidey is an Avenger. I think it's fun. But..Spidey is a grown man. He's gone through a lot to even be OK in joining the team. ASM's Spidey...is a fucking kid. He's got his own goddamn problems to develop.
Fuck Spidey being an Avenger in the MCU, even if he's a Sony guy. He's not needed nor does he matter to The Avengers so far. There are many many characters that are more important to be in that team than Spidey. And I'm a huge fan of Spidey. He's my favorite Superhero. And he is still not needed to be involved w/ The Avengers in a film.

Spidey's only in the Avengers now to help move comics anyway. I don't necessarily want or need him in Avengers.

Isn't Mary Jane supposed to be a real sultry, sexy woman? The actress they cast seems a bit innocent to me.

Not impressed by the looks of the actress for Mary Jane either, she looks kinda flat not enough MJ personality but then again I haven't seen her act

It should be more like the comics, where Mary Jane and Gwen do all sorts of crazy lesbo stuff together.
Wait, Marvel does publish Rule 34, right?

Because obviously a Peter-Gwen-MJ love triangle never existed in the comics decades before Twilight...
Maybe they could do a modified Sins Past with Gwen and MJ having a threesome with Norman Osborn.

I can tell this is gonna be a three year long bitch fest.
The love triangle sickens me because its how they're gonna do it: Long, silent stares, dumbed down storytelling, and shitty CGI. Just what the Twihards like. If Webb goes down on Stone, then maybe I'll give a damn.

Yeah, Gwen is the girl-next-door kind of hot and Emma Stone fits that well, but MJ is super model hot and she became a super model as her adult career. Shailene Woodley is better than Kirsten Fugly-ass Dunst in that regard, but she is still not super model hot.

Jamie Foxx in talks to play 'Spider-Man 2' villain
Thesp would play Electro in Sony sequel
By Justin Kroll
Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" seems to be coming together faster than expected, as sources tell Variety the studio is in early talks with Jamie Foxx to play the villain in the movie.
Sources also told Variety that Foxx would play Electro, and Foxx later tweeted, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."
Electro is the alter ego of Max Dillon, an enemy of Spider-Man who gains the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the character first appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man #9" in February 1964.
In "The Amazing Spider-Man's" post-credit sequence, set inside Dr. Curt Connors' cell at an asylum, the Lizard is approached by a mysterious, shadowy figure (Michael Massee) who asks if Peter Parker knows the truth about his father. Lightning features prominently in the scene, prompting auds to speculate that Electro would be featured in the sequel.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are onboard to return, with Shailene Woodley in talks to join the cast as well. Marc Webb is set to return to direct.
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the sequel, whose screenplay will be credited to frequent tentpole scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, as well as Jeff Pinkner, based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt. "The Amazing Spider-Man" grossed $751 million worldwide, and the sequel is skedded to swing into theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
As for Foxx, Sony has already begun building a relationship with the thesp. The studio will be distributing "Django Unchained" overseas, and Foxx is starring alongside Channing Tatum in "White House Down," which Sony is viewing as one of its major tentpoles next summer.
He is repped by CAA and Montone/Yorn.
