This film is being advertised on the main menu of my LG TV. How convenient.

I was in the infamous, Chinese-centric Pacific Mall here on the weekend, and while there's not much demand for bootleg discs these days (and thus most retailers there have moved on to counterfeiting other stuff), the three stores in there that do still sell them all had stacks of this movie on the racks out front. And damned if people weren't picking them up!

Loved this film. Was hoping the bump would be for a follow-up.

Right now Covid is a full football stadium with 2,500 dead, about 3%. Contagion had a disease that had a 20% death rate, which is just absolutely horrifying when you think about it. That'd be 17,000 dead now.
Bubonic was upwards of 50% which is insane.

That all? I remember they were burning fields of people, but it seemed way more than just 17,000.

I work the front door of a 1200 person capacity live music venue. I touch the I.D's of 5000 different people every week. I'm a ticking timebomb waiting to go off.

At 20%, that's a million dead for every 5 million infected. Normal flu season is up to 45 million infections in the US.

Am I the only one in the camp who think the soloar corona-virus is complete B.S. (you know, the whole fear mongering part)??

There's an entire thread devoted to the virus. Unless this Solar Coronavius is a thing from the movie. It's been too long since I've seen it.

NPR did a recent write-up about the accuracy of the film: https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsan...ie-is-trending
Pretty much in line with the original write-ups.
