Except for the recycling of dialogue from the first movie (at the end of that clip), I like what I see.

I was hoping Rachel McAdams wouldn't be back for this one. Don't like her at all. Didn't like her character either.
I'm 50/50 about Holmes needing any kind of love interest--really wouldn't matter to me either way, but I just didn't care for Irene Adler and the fact that I don't like Rachel McAdams made it worse.

I liked Irene Adler. She was a nice nod to the books and I thought Rachel McAdams was great in the role. That said, though I'll miss her, I'm glad she's not back (last I checked, IMDB is wrong in this particular bit of casting information). If this is to be a franchise, her character would work best if she's only in some of the films.

Ugh. I know that the fanboys went gaga for it, but the first movie was, to me, a Sherlock Holmes version of The Wild, Wild West (the shitty Will Smith one). Didn't care for it at all.

Yeah I didn't know there were fanboys with regards to Holmes.

I for the most part enjoyed SH. Slightly flawed and bit too simple for it's sake but I enjoyed more of it than what what I didn't. Seeing that little clip I put up...I wasn't digging Holmes wearing that disguise and whatnot..it was too much for me in a way.

The movie was good but GOD DAMN the BBC series beat the absolute shit out of it with no mercy, and will continue to do so later this year. But I will still watch the sequel.

I was pleasantly surprised by Sherlock Holmes. I expected it to be unwatchable garbage, but it was fun and I'll see a sequel just for the interplay between Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

Since 1934, there are several hundred of us who meet annually in NYC in January. Not to mention, the thousand or so scion societies that meet across the world.
