Who's a naughty boy and watched a pirated version of the movie. The Tangerine Dream track is used in the pirated version and in the theatrical its a Cliff Martinez track used in this scene. I admit i have seen both. I went to see the movie 3 times at the theater i enjoyed it that much. Brilliant movie.

Note: Also the Hand Covers Bruise track from the Social Network by Trent Reznor used in another scene in the pirated version.

How the hell did you guys get the 24x36?


The site kept crashing, the only reason I got the small one is because they had it so you could search for it and find it before it was supposed to be up, so I ordered it then. Then they fixed it right after.

Well, apparently the 22x28 copies went live a little early (10 minutes or so), so some people got those early. The listing was pulled a minute or two later. Around 30 minutes after that (1:20 EST), the 24x36 appeared in the Search field, but not in the Prints or Featured Items listings. Then it showed up on those pages, and I got my order in. Then, about another 15 or 20 minutes later, the 22x28 copies appeared in the Search, then the Prints and Featured Items pages a couple minutes later.

So yeah... since I was watching it so closely, I managed to get the 24x36 without too much trouble at all, since most people were probably anxiously awaiting for the link on Twitter.

They still should have prepared for the traffic, you don't announce a time for something like this, then not have it up because the website crashed.

I heard there was a little drama with this drop (similar to Olly Moss' Totoro earlier this week). I decided to pass on this since I'm not a huge fan of the design and a bit skeptical on the stock. Curious to know what you think of it when you receive it.

I refreshed the site and when the 24x36 poster came up, I clicked on it immediately and added it to the cart as quickly as possible. Checked the twitter and the guy said the poster was up and running. The whole ordering process took me about two minutes. Luckily I made an account a couple weeks ago. I'd imagined that may have cost some people valuable time to purchase the poster.

Hello everyone.

Thanks so much for your interest in purchasing the limited edition DRIVE poster. Launch day last Thursday was met with an overwhelming response, quite literally. I wanted to send my gratitude to each and every one of you, hence the mass email. If you are receiving this, you have purchased the limited 24" x 36" version.

Now, a story.

When the fulfillment company, Merchline launched the posters in my store the server traffic was so high it buckled parts of the website. If you were trying to buy a poster you might have noticed the technical difficulties. As a result, the 24" x 36" version was oversold before we could cap the product entry. The edition was supposed to be 30, but 150 were sold. It happened within minutes.

This obviously presented me with a problem. I could keep the poster run at 30 and refund the vast majority of orders. This would leave those refunded orders with no other option since the 22" x 28" versions are also sold out, in short leaving them with nothing. So, I've decided to extend the 24" x 36" print run to fulfill all the orders taken. This original version will not be reprinted, maintaining limited edition integrity. They will still be hand-signed and numbered accordingly.

I understand this extended print run is very unexpected (to even me) so if you have any issues with this course of action and would rather a refund, I would be more than happy to oblige. Simply reply to this email and include your order ID.

I truly appreciate your understanding. I'm a 1-person company and this is my first big poster release which brought some unexpected speed-bumps. I am doing my very best to treat collectors, fans of DRIVE and Signalnoise supporters with the upmost of respect by being completely upfront in this matter. You may see a follow-up to this email should any questions arise.

Thank-you so much for the amazing response, everyone. It truly means a lot, and I am already hard at work on my next big poster release.

I think that's an acceptable compromise. Anyone who is genuinely upset can get a refund. The rest of us still get an awesome poster to frame.

Sold out within minutes my butt. It was available in the early A.M. hours for a while, then it was put back up later in the day. SOOO glad I decided not to spend $90 on it during early time slot.

As mentioned before, the early AM on-sale was a total mistake. They were likely creating the listing at that time, and didn't think it'd show up on the site for people to purchase (as evidenced by the twitter feeds of those involved). They weren't required to honor those purchases, but they did anyway. I think a first-timer deserves a bit of slack.

A few people got it when it was put up by mistake, then they put it back up at the correct time and it sold out within a few minutes.

You are willing to pay $90 for a litho that now has 5 times more printed than originally advertised? More power to ya. Other places involved in these types of prints do what is right by accepting the payments through how many were originally for sale, and cancel all the payments that went over the original #. Been buying prints for over 4 years, and this is BS.
