He usually has such good taste, too. One of the five worst movies I have seen in the last 10 years, and maybe the worst.

Anyway, the fiancee and I are doing a Black Swan - The Fighter - Winter's Bone triple dip today, so that should clear up my top 5.

Re: Your Top 5 of 2010.

There were a ton of movies I didn't get to see this year, so this list stops at 4. I couldn't pick a 5th movie. Once I see some of the summer 2010 releases on Blu, I'll likely update my list.

Toy Story 3
How to Train Your Dragon
Inception
Kick-Ass

Inception

Exit Through the Gift Shop

*if we're counting A Prophet as a 2010 release, it would make my top 3.

Re: Your Top 5 of 2010.

Would replace The Fighter on my list with True Grit (The Fighter in top 10 but were only doing 5)... TG maybe my top for the year. Still have a few more to see, but will probably only end up seeing Black Swan any time soon.

Re: Your Top 5 of 2010.

Pretty much all of my favorite directors have had films released this year but the only one I've gotten to see is Aronofsky's "Black Swan", so i'm hoping True Grit, Social Network, and Shutter Island will be in my top 5, at least Fincher and the Coen brothers haven't disapointed me yet and Scorsese has a pretty good track record. My favorite of the year so far is "Black Swan", and I really enjoyed "Tangled", actually more than "Toy Story 3"
Everything else i've seen released this year has been nothing special and not worth mentioning. The Nightmare on Elm St remake is one of the few things i've seen in the theater this year and that would rank more in the worst 5.

What do all these people see in Black Swan? It's such a gut-wrenchingly awful film. I just don't get it.

Still need to see several other movies to formulate my final top 5 of 2010. Right now I know that Inception and Toy Story 3 will be on there...
