True, but it didn't open in the U.S. (other than festivals) until Feb 2010 and since I seen it this year, I still counted it. I thought of putting an asterisk next to it for that reason.

I don't like lists. I forget films and usually find fault with my own list in short order. Also there was a lot of good stuff this year, making only 5 difficult. I haven't seen 'True Grit', 'Get Low', 'Black Swan', and some others that might contend for a place on the list either.

Please keep in mind that I have a reasonably large number of films to see still for this year. That prevents me from considering this a concrete list of my favorite films in 2010. However, due largely in part to the fact that most of the films I am referring to probably won't be playing in theaters where I live until January of 2011 at the earliest this will have to do for now.
