I'm hoping they'll include an alternate audio track of Danny Elfman's Batman score applied to the Nolan trilogy in that upcoming box set.

Its true that the actual Death storyarc was pretty dumb and just a big popcorn fistfight with as much substance as a Michael Bay movie,
but the following storyarcs Funeral for a Friend, World with a Superman, and Reign of the Supermen were all very good stories.
Funeral for a Friend had some good stories, but the highlight of all that was Adventures of Superman #500 when Pa Kent sees Clark/Superman in the afterlife.

In all fairness, Superman #75 was never advertised as the last Superman comic. It was always announced that publication would cease after Funeral for a Friend ran its course. Which they did for a few months in order to keep the ruse going. Then they restarted publication with the Reign of the Supermen arc.
Actually, just before Doomsday showed up out of nowhere, the writers were setting up an epic battle between Superman and Darkseid. Hell, the issue just before Doomsday first arrived (I don't remember which exact book since the Superman comics all crossed over back then but I think it was an Action Comics issue) had Highfather prophecying an epic final battle between Superman and Darkseid. Then suddenly Doomsday showed up and killed Superman. I remember being royally pissed that it wasn't Darkseid that killed him.
I also recall there being fan speculation that Doomsday was in some way related to Darkseid, given their grey skin.

^ Hey, he's already a screenwriter and actor. Why not director?

I almost didn't recognize Detective Stabler in that pic.

I love that pic. That costume looks all kinds of badass.

Why do I have the feeling that Nolan had more control on this than anyone has let on?
As for the suit, I don't like it, but whatever. Cavill doesn't look like Superman, but he'll do a much better job than Routh.

If you are an in-shape white guy with a broad chest and dark hair...you look like Superman.
Henry Cavill looks like Superman.

I don't see how either Cavill or Welling looks douchey. I think forms of the word douche must be one of the most overused terms these days.
