I'm a huge Evil Dead fan. I'm curious if anyone has ever noticed the stark similarity between the Evil Dead 2 soundtrack and the elfman one for Batman... Considering that the former came a few years before, it always bothered me as a then young Raimi/Campbell fan.

Then, of course Elfman and Raimi worked together on Army of Darkness.... curious...

Yeah, I'm not going to lie but if we got an animated series w/ this exact type of animation style and tone..I'd watch it. It'd have to keep up the fun for the kids for sure based off the era....but I could see it happening.

In that case it would be. It...just is.
When saying it's popular doesn't mean it's better. Popular don't equate to quality all the time.
Is the West Batman theme better than the Elfman theme? No. You'd have to back it up for me to think otherwise. Is it more popular than the Elfman. No fucking doubt about that.

I know about movies that have been hits but people didn't like it, but with music it's different.

I just caught Immortals on instant netflix, and am much more excited about this movie now. Seemingly good casting choice for Supes.

Music is the same. Just cuz Justin Bieber is making a shit ton of cash doesn't mean he's better than say...Arcade Fire. He's just more popular. Easy argument. Also..I don't hate Bieber, barely know anything of him but...I just used him cuz it seems he's making the most bank.

and a nice fuck you from Warner
Man of Steel: An IMAX 3D Experience
Release Date: June 14, 2013.
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.
The IMAX release of Man of Steel will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX ExperienceŽ with proprietary IMAX DMRŽ (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
i don't mind the Imax convert, but 3D is like Warner saw positive numbers for Spidey and saw an excuse to convert

It isn't. Just cuz Transformers 2 made so much money...doesn't mean it's better than Inglorious Basterds. TF2 isn't better. It's just more popular.

So the worst movie got the most money from me.
That's what I'm trying to say. With music you hear it and you know if you want to hear it again.

That's the same w/ films. You're not making sense. You have an option to see it again if you like. To leave or switch it off.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)
Update: WB has confirmed that MAN OF STEEL is not currently set to be post-converted into IMAX 3D. That doesn't mean it won't still happen - perhaps the cat was merely let out of the bag early ahead of a big planned announcement? Or not, I suppose. Either is possible.

Anyone know if we're going to get a teaser for this attached to TDKR? Last we heard news of this was about a month ago and it was only a rumor at that time.

Who cares? Go see the 2D like a lot of us and enjoy it like you would if you didn't even know it was in 3D in the theater next door.I don't like 3D but I'm not gonna bitch about it. It doesn't affect me at all. I'll be there in the 2D screening oblivious to what I'm "missing" out on.

I'd be surprised if some footage or a trailer isn't screened this week at SDCC, and having something for TDKR would definitely make sense.
