I can't fucking wait for this movie. I am someone who hates the old movies, but with Snyder, and Cavill (perferct Anakin if the PT was to be done right and remade) this movie has me excited.

That didn't really do much for me. As Kal-El said, the color grading looks very drab, not at all like the magazine cover. Plus, I have a real problem with the accusatory tone of the mom's voice. It is as if she is saying "how dare Clark save my son's life!" Doesn't sound genuine or believable at all to me. If someone saved the life of one of my children, I would be their friend for life.

Most people are strange illogical things. Heck, in the olden days if someone performed a miraculous rescue people would say they were "in league with Lucifer" sooner than "thank God you were there".

Loved it. However, more on the costume... the texture is fine by me but on the boots too? Silly complaint, I know, but it looks weird. I also miss the shield on the cape.
I'm normally in this camp(didn't need a new Spidey origin, don't want another Batman origin after Nolan's trilogy), but to be fair the last Superman origin story was in 1978. If any superhero property gets some leeway in revisiting the origin well, Superman is it.
We have no context to which that tone is for.

Boy, you said it, fumanstan.
I know it's early, but:
This trailer makes me want to slit my wrists.
And that costume. Anyone else notice a huge cock staring down at them?

Yeah if someone saved my son's life but did it while picking up an entire school bus, as appreciative as I would be initially i'd be freaked out too.

Guess I'll reserve any thoughts after I've seen the film. The trailer doesn't do much for me other than show that it "feels" better than Singer's film, which was very disappointing.

There's more action in that trailer than there was in the last movie entirely.

I didn't know some of this was filmed in Ucluelet! I recognize that shot where he's looking at the school bus wth the old church in the background. He would be standing right in front of the uke pub were my band played a couple of times on tour. It's this amazing secluded fishing town on Vancouver island. When I went mental two years ago after my separation, I went there for 4 days and just sat on the beach, drank and played guitar while trying to figure my life out. Not a big deal, but I never recognize locations..

Just like Spiderman. He goes to a lab, gets bit, gets powers, not being responsible gets his uncle killed so he takes up crimefighting out of guilt. Just described comics, Rami & recent movie origin. Writers put their little twists on side details but its still the same.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the film, because Zak Snyder is absolutely awful. The trailer looked pretty good except for the mopey tone and the drab color palette. This is not the Dark Knight. It's Superman.
