Just rented this on Blu-Ray from my local Mom and Pop video store. Very fun flick with lots of sick action/kills and surprisingly alot of humor. Jessica Alba was a total tease in this flick with the partial nudity in the shower, the wife beater and black bra and even the long stiletto heels. I'm glad this movie didn't take itself too seriously.
The Blu-Ray's extras are pretty shitty. There is an audience reaction track, deleted scenes and a trailer. I liked the movie, but I'm going to pass on buying it for now until it drops in price or a better edition comes, which I assume could happen if/when Machete Kills gets made and released.

Have you ever rented from a local Mom and Pop store before? My local Mom and Pop store never follows street dates. They sometimes get movies 1 month before the official release date and put them out. Most small video stores do the same thing.I don't blame them. They got 10 copies of Machete BR in and they lose money not putting it out right away.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed with it. It wasn't bad by any means just a little boring and fell a little flat. Maybe a second viewing will help. If the sequels are for real......that's great news.
That brisk commercial was really good.

really enjoyed this mroe than i thought i would. fun and action throughout. the characters were very enjoyable throughout. simple story to follow and perfectly graphic. given i didn't love Planet Terror, i am very glad this turned out the way it did and look forward to the SE release.

Just saw it and I agree with you. Worked better as a trailer than a feature film. It just didn't flow very well IMO. Sure, the bloody scenes were a blast. Everything else was pretty slow and dull. Some side notes. Was Jessica Alba wearing a wig? It sure looked like it. Regardless, NOT flattering. Also not flattering? Lindsay Lohan in High Def. My God, she looks like she's 50 years old. Both her and Alba were absolutely terrible in this.

Good performances by Don Johnson, Robert DeNiero.
Steven Seagal gives a entertaining performance as a Mexican and Jessica Alba looks good.
But the movie overall I didn't like.
Too much b.s. violence that is way too fake.
How did Machete escape the ass-kicking in the opening scene?
