Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

Also of note, Donnie Yen directed (not just choreographed) his fight with Jing Wu. That's why the photography and editing is so rock solid. I believe the same holds true for the Sammo Hung fight but I'm not sure.

Since when has Jet Li NOT been in this? I was under the belief that he was still in this?

Also...for the love fucking Christ get Dwayne Johnson in this.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

A while back it was announced that Jet Li is the only cast member from the first film not returning (well, other than those that were killed off in the first flick ). No word as to why he's gone.

How sad...

BUT...if it's an official that we got Yen...I'm for the most part ok w/ that. I just hope they let Yen show off his skills properly. Li didn't fare too well against the editor.

Or the cinematographer (so much shakey cam...). Corey Yuen (the choreographer for Jet Li's fight scenes in The Expendables) must've been pissed when he saw the finished film.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

Yeah, I was amazed to see Yuen credited as the choreographer for Li. It sure as hell didn't complement him.

BTW...when the hell are we getting Director's Cut of The Expendables? Whatever happened to that?

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

I dunno. It showed up in some PPV station and then word of it died. I'm guessing the BD will either coincide with the theatrical release of The Expendables 2: Expendabler or with the BD release of the same.

It wouldn't make any sense to release the Director's Cut right now. I agree, if it gets released, it will coincide with the theatrical release of the sequel.

I don't think he's ever been a part of the rumored cast list. Not that the story matters much, but didn't his character keep saying he wanted out in the first movie?

I tweeted my message to Sly...highly doubt he'll respond considering he hasn't tweeted since November of last year.

The Director's Cut plays on EPIX, if you're cable provider carries that network.

He just said he wanted more money but he was portrayed as totally loyal to Sly.

Doesn't that violate the restraining order he has against you (after the attempted rape)?

Maybe fiction became truth for Jet Li? I dunno.

My twitter identity has yet to be revealed to Mr. Stallone. Soooo I'm on the edge on this...but...possible violation. I can't find the paperwork.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

Expendables 2 EXCLUSIVES!!!

Okay so I have a lot to share with you guys in this article. All this information comes from my contact Svetlio in Sofia, Bulgaria who writes for the entertainment section of a local newspaper, he has established many contacts within the movie industry through his time as an entertainment journalist. Svetlio received the majority of this information through his contacts at Nu Boyana Studios where Expendables 2 is filming and through his contacts at Nu Image. As an exciting side note, Svetlio may be getting a small role in the film as an extra which would be an amazing opportunity and experience for him as well as allow us even more exclusive coverage from the set!!

So let's get started here, to start with I have pictures of the newspaper article that featured the news that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis will be on board for Expendables 2, Arnold filming for one week and Bruce possibly up to two weeks. The article is written in Bulgarian. Here are those photos:

Next up, I am told Mickey Rourke WILL RETURN to play Tool in the sequel and all those fretting over the departure of Jet Li may have a sigh of relief provided to you. Apparently Jet Li WILL RETURN for Expendables 2 but WILL NOT be filming any scenes in Bulgaria. His only scenes will take place during the filming in China.

We have also been provided with some news on the villains. Jean-Claude Van Damme's character will reportedly have his own gang or unit of mercenaries and his character's body will be completely covered in tattoos. The fact that he will have his own unit of mercenaries is clearly a carry over from the earlier released plot summary that Sylvester Stallone quickly shot down as inaccurate. In that plot description the main villain, playfully named Vilain had his own unit of mercenaries that competed with The Expendables. Van Damme presumably has the role of Vilain as we've all assumed by I'm not sure if that character name is still accurate.

Lastly, Scott Adkins (Undisputed 3, Assassination Games) has reportedly been offered a role in Expendables 2 that would seem him play a member of Van Damme's mercenary unit. Adkins has appeared with Van Damme recently in Assasination Games and Universal Soldier: A New Dimension which also features Expendables cast member Dolph Lundgren.

So that's all I have for now guys, pretty much all of that news has nothing backing it up other then the word of my source. So I'll leave it up to you guys just how much you want to believe. With filming beginning either this month or next we should know fairly soon just how accurate it all is. In my opinion, Svetlio has been a stand up guy since I first started talking with him and I think his word can be trusted on all this. But like I said, you guys decide amongst yourselves and we shall all know everything very soon. What do you guys think about all this potential news?

Extended Description Of Original FAKE Plot

I missed this, but back on May 23rd the site Gordon And The Whale released an EXTENDED description of the plot for Expendables 2 which Sylvester Stallone told StalloneZone was FAKE. While the plot may have changed it is possible elements of the below plot may still be in the official plot when its released. For pure curiosity sake why not check out the plot below? We shall wait and see what actually comes to pass. A special thanks to Gordon And The Whale for providing it!!

Stallone, Statham, Rourke, Lundgren, Couture and Crews return as hard-edged but noble mercenaries in the second installment of Sylvester Stallone's old-school action thriller, The Expendables.

As payback for taking out the corrupt CIA agent Monroe (Eric Roberts) in the first Expendables, cagey Agent Church (Bruce Willis) forces the Expendables to do an "easy mission": retrieve a missing CIA package from Gazak, a civil war torn country in Easter Europe.

The easy mission turns deadly when the Expendables are ambushed by a team of ruthless rival mercs, the Sangunaires, competing to get the same package. Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and souleof the Expendables, is brutally murdered by Vilain, the leader of the bloodthirsty guns for hire. Still, the Expendables manage to pull of the mission and return with the CIA package, but it's a hollow victory.

As their thoughts turn from grief to revenge, Tool's beautiful young daughter Fiona shows up. Cut from the same stone as her dad, she wants to join the Expendables when they hunt down Vilain and his men. Barney (Stallone) promises her the Expendables will avenge Tool's death, but will not risk putting his best friend's daughter in harm's way.

Fiona, who is young and wile, embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters for Barney when she is captured and ransomed by VIlain. Now Barney and the expendables must risk everything to save her, kidnapping CIA Agent Church and pulling off a daring heist of the CIA package they were hired to bring back.

When Agent Church reveals why the CIA package is so valuable to Vilain, the stakes go up even higher. Inside the package are canisters of radioactive cesium which Vilain has been tasked with releasing on the people's uprising that threatens the thirty year rule of Gazak's vicious dictator, President Dogot.

The Expendables, along with Agent Church, are now faced with an impossible mission: rescue Fiona, foil a dictator's vicious plot to kill scores of innocent people, and avenge the death of one of their own.

Am I the only one who'd jizz in my pants if we got one badass scene with Arnold a la the compound ambush in Predator, or the compound ambush in Commando, or the compound ambush in... well, you get what I'm saying.

No. I'm pretty sure Solid Snake PAC would join you in a round of movie theater screen bukkake.

Cast Michael Jai White as Fiona and this would be perfect. Awesome to hear Adkins will be involved.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

If that plot summary as a bit of truth to it, I wonder who they will get to play Tool's daughter? If they want someone appropriate given the father, I would recommend Lindsey Lohan. If they want to go younger, maybe Tsaorise Ronan.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

Lohan is too toxic for this production.

I don't have a good suggestion, though.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

minor misspelling, but it's Saoirse.

And...I dunno...as much as I'm not keen on this daughter being involved and plot relating to her inclusion...I don't think I'd ever like Ronan or Lohan to be in there.

Re: The Expendables 2 (2012?)

‘Expendables 2′ Sets Action Dream Trio: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis Join Sly Stallone

After The Expendables turned in a surprisingly strong $275 million worldwide gross, many have wondered what they would do for an encore. How’s this? Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have just closed deals to take “substantial” roles in The Expendables 2, alongside Sylvester Stallone. This has been rumored as possible, and it basically answers the hopes of a lot of fans who weren’t satisfied when action icons Schwarzenegger and Willis turned in cameos in the original, and poked fun at the days when they were the world’s top action stars. Stallone directed the first one but stepped out and the job went to Simon West. Filming will begin in October, and Lionsgate will once again release the Millennium Films-produced actioner. Schwarzenegger and Willis are repped by CAA. Schwarzenegger is already working for Lionsgate in the Jee-Won Kim-directed action film Last Stand. Willis will squeeze in the role before going off to Russia to reprise his John McLane role in Die Hard 5, which just landed John Moore as director at Fox, and then he will make a sequel to Red. Aside from Stallone, original cast members Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews and Jet Li are expected to return, and there is buzz about Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Do we need to start a petition for Jeff Speakman?

oh wow...didn't know Arnold was working on Last Stand yet. That'll be interesting.
