This is what it comes down to for Aniston. Everyone felt bad because Angelina Jolie took Brad Pitt from her and wanted to justify keeping her on the A-list, so they try to make it seem that she's as popular of an actress as Jolie. That is a far cry from the truth.
The reality is that Aniston is a moderately attractive, servicable actress. She's not talented like Jodie Foster, gorgeous like Charlize Theron, naturally charming like Sandra Bullock, or possess a strong personality like Julia Roberts. I know Roberts isn't liked on these boards, but she does possess a certain quality that draws you in, even if you don't like it. Aniston doesn't. Aniston is just the library club president at the prom that everyone dances with because they feel bad that the quarterback dumped her for the homecoming queen.

I could care less about her being int he tabloids, or any of that crap. She's all right, probably better than most her are giving her credit for, but much of that is to her choice in roles.

Never watched Friends and wouldn't go see a movie just 'cause she's in it. But I agree she's pretty hot. Jolie is hot but in a different way, one that gives me the creeps.

I think she's beautiful and talented but appears in movies I'm not that interested in usually.
I never heard of "Marley & Me" before the movie came out and I watched it because of Jennifer Aniston & inspite of Owen Wilson.
Vince Vaughn will NOT be the reason I watch "The Break Up" it will be Jennifer Aniston.

Back to the topic at hand, is there a single Jennifer Aniston role in which she wasn't anything more than "serviceable"? She's not a bad actress at all, but she never elevates any material she's in... which, considering almost her entire filmography, would have helped a LOT.

Look no further than the Bounty Hunter. Universally panned by critics and terrible word of mouth and yet still came away with $140 million worldwide on a $40 million budget. I guarantee Aniston's name had a lot more to do with that than a fat Gerard Butler.

All I can say is that I do not think I have been to any of her movies in the theater, she is one of my least fav movie actresses.
Watched a few of her movies on DVD, "Bruce Almighty" is the only one that comes to mind, but the was a Jim C movie, not hers.

Where I am disappointed is her choice in film projects lately. I haven't bothered to see most of her movies, because they just don't look good. So, I would like to see her take some more risks with different roles and better directors.
