This is what it comes down to for Aniston. Everyone felt bad because Angelina Jolie took Brad Pitt from her and wanted to justify keeping her on the A-list, so they try to make it seem that she's as popular of an actress as Jolie. That is a far cry from the truth.

The reality is that Aniston is a moderately attractive, servicable actress. She's not talented like Jodie Foster, gorgeous like Charlize Theron, naturally charming like Sandra Bullock, or possess a strong personality like Julia Roberts. I know Roberts isn't liked on these boards, but she does possess a certain quality that draws you in, even if you don't like it. Aniston doesn't. Aniston is just the library club president at the prom that everyone dances with because they feel bad that the quarterback dumped her for the homecoming queen.

Exactly. She was pretty much the most popular character on one of the most popular shows in the history of television. Like it or not, the general public adored/adores her.

Personally, I find her super attractive physically and a mediocre actress with potential. She has been cast well in a couple of smaller parts like Office Space, but I don't think she carries a film well. I think with the right part and the right director, she could give a great performance.
