I'm guesssing that for that to happen, it needs 1M+ viewers.

Now that's how I want I want to see superhero comics on the big screen... even more than live action.

With this sort of capability at their disposal, why on earth do they even bother with with stuff that looks like it come off of Cartoon channel or Saturday morning?

That is badass! I wish all superhero movies took their cues from this.

Is there anywhere I can download a 1080p version of this video?

I wouldn't be surprised if the cost of producing that 5 minute segment was close to the entire 80 minutes of Batman: Under The Red Hood.

They should just have the Japanese anime studio that did Vexhille and the Appleseed movies do it.

As much as I like Appleseed and Appleseed: Ex Machina, the video Hokeyboy posted is much better.

The Bomb Queen would be an awesome 3D R-rated animated film!

I agree.

Which is awful considering it's cost was probably just a part of the promotional budget for what is, after all, just a video game.

Just imagine Kingdom Come done in that manner.

I guess I wouldn't mind CG Superhero movies like the DC Online video. But for the most part I'd still rather see CG enhanced traditional animation.

Dammit, Viacom has blocked the videos

Anyone have a replacement link?

Also, What does Lex say just before he spears Superman?

I made the mistake of watching the Thor trailer right after watching this. That was a mistake.

And if you think this DC trailer is good, check this out:

That star wars trailer is good, but it lacks the heart of the DCU trailer --- Superman being a badass, Black Adam screaming Shazam!, the cool morph of Lex from the battlefield into the past with his yellow glowing eyes ...
I SO want to see that DCU movie made!!!

Re: Pixar style animated films for the Superheroe genre?

The CGI in the Star Wars video was better but it felt more like a SW fanfilm directed by a Michael bay wannabe. Also, the chick towards the end looked like she accidentally walked in from a Baldur's Gate game. And what's the deal with what I can only describe as Darth Darkman?

So, yeah, I liked the DCU video better and would rather see that turned into a feature. Shame the gameplay screenshots of the DCU Online game look dreadful.
