Re: Saw 3D

My prediction/hope:
Spoiler:
Dr. Gordon will be one of the few survivors or will at least have a hand in Hoffman's demise. It would be nice to see a survivor from the original actually survive the entire series. Also, Marcus Dunstan has said that he's a Gordonite, so hopefully that bodes well for the character.

Cheesy trailer, but looks like it'll be a fun end to the series.

Re: Saw 3D

If this is the end of the franchise, I bet next year we'll get a similar movie to the series with a tagline of "From the makers of Saw..."

Just to post for those who may click on the video above this post, that clip is a BIG FUCKING SPOILER (and I wish I hadn't watched that).

It's a dream sequence, it spoils nothing.

Re: Saw 3D

Was the girl in that the one who won that contest from VH1?

EDIT: just saw that it wasn't. Hard to believe that actress is close to 50. She's a true cougar.

I don't see any confirmation of this anywhere (I just spent the past 15 minutes Google searching and on the House of Jigsaw, I don't see a confirmation [especially since the cast and crew visit that forum] that it's a dream sequence or not).

They've never spoiled anything that big. It's a dream.

They've also never had a dream sequence in the first six films either.

But others have been scripted and shot, ie Amanda's dream sequence with Adam.

Edit: And that scene actually was in the Director's Cut, so idk what you're talking about.

WTF this was just posted on facebook. I still think it's a dream, but now I'm really confused.

I don't remember any dream sequences with Adam, but I only saw the Director's Cut once. Either way, the Director's Cut is not necessarily considered a "canon" interpretation given it doesn't match with Saw IV.

That doesn't change the fact that a dream sequence was scripted, shot and almost included as part of the theatrical version. The series isn't above doing a dream sequence.

Seems like the whole approach with that is to communicate:

"See this gruesome death? It will be ten times cooler in 3D!!!"

I didn't care for the last couple installments, but I am looking forward to seeing this one. Promo's have been pretty effective.

Re: Saw 3D

If anyone in the L.A. area is interested in going to the premiere and after party, there is an auction going on right now that is ending soon. Current bid is $550.
