Re: Black Dynamite

I was at the Black Dynamite panel at Comic Con. The audience was in stitches during the entire pilot.

Re: Black Dynamite

I thought it was funny, and I liked the animation, but puppets? I was hoping they would keep the series marginally grounded. I hope they aren't going to use the medium of animation as an excuse for making the show too ridiculous.

Re: Black Dynamite

As long as it's good BD material...I don't give a damn.

Re: Black Dynamite

Actually I liked the puppets and the idea of using animation to do more things.

Sesame St was around during that era so it makes sense to use that to parody. Had Black Dynamite started fighting grey aliens than yeah, that would be stupid but the animated show is still keeping itself rooted in that era so i like it.

Re: Black Dynamite

Meet the Feebles meets Truck Turner. At face value each one is fantastic but moshed together I'm not sure where this series is going. I admit, it is hysterical (in a Kermit the frog as Willie Dynamite sort of way) but I'm in the KillerCannibal camp where the approach is a little silly. It's like, let's dump the conflict that made the 70's blaxsploitation films gold by replacing "the man" with "the frog". But I'm willing to give it a chance.

Re: Black Dynamite

Black Dynamite should have gotten a bigger release than it did 3 years ago. It would have made more money than Snakes on a Plane, and probably as much as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will. Hollywood needs more inventive quirkiness.

Re: Black Dynamite

Wow! It's been so long since I saw the pilot that I forgot all about the cartoon!

Definitely looking forward to it.

Wish we'd get a sequel to the movie.

Re: Black Dynamite

Both episodes that have aired so far have been absolutely hilarious.

Also the gray alien comment above may have came true.

Re: Black Dynamite

I just saw the third ep. with the Ninjas and Michael Jackson. It was On Demand. Pretty Hilarious.
