I have to go with my sentimental favorite, as Ripley in The American Friend - the first Wim Wenders film I ever saw.

A not unsurprising choice, given your username! The American Friend is easily my favorite of the three Ripley films I've seen, above The Talented Mr. Ripley and Purple Moon, the latter of which I thought took a strangely light approach to the material. Not to get too far off topic, but have there been any other Highsmith Ripley adaptations, other than the Malkovich one a few years back?
